TREMAINE POV

May 2nd, 2021

"Mookie?" I said walking in her house, closing the door behind me and making sure to lock it. Just getting off work and all I wanted to do was eat and lay up with Soleil.

We've been engaged the past few months, and we decided that we're gonna get married December 2021. She wants a winter wedding and that's what I'm gone give her.

"In the kitchen!" She said loud enough for me to hear.

I walked in the kitchen and seen her in her silk robe cooking dinner for the two of us and I smiled a little standing behind her and holding her waist.

"How was your day baby?" She asked me as she gave me a kiss.

"Tiresome, I'm just glad I'm home" I said to her and she chuckled saying "Same here."

I placed my both of my hands on her stomach as I stood behind her and said "We getting closer and closer"

"I know, and he be kicking randomly. I was watching a movie and he just kept kicking, over and over" She said laughing a little.

"Whenever you ready man, whenever you ready" I said rubbing her stomach softly.

She's 9 months now and she'll be due any minute now. Our son's due date is May 3rd, and it's May 2nd.

So any day now, our son should be coming. Soleil's stomach was huge and it was actually dope to see her carry a human being.

Knowing I'm about to be a father any day now, is crazy but I'm ready. Finally starting my own family, which is something I always wanted. Especially with Soleil.

"I'm so nervous about giving birth" Soleil said.

"I know.. But you gone be just fine, and I'ma be right there wit cha" I said.

"I just know it's gone hurt chile." She said and I laughed.

"Yeah I don't know how y'all do it. I commend women on being able to have babies and what not." I said.

"Pushing a 5-7 pound baby out yo pussy ain't for the weak" Soleil said and we both laughed.

"I'm already knowing." I said. "I wanna talk to you about something" I added.

"What's going on? And hand me a plate baby" She said. I nodded my head and grabbed a plate, handing it to her as I said "The future, is what I wanna talk about"

"I'm listening" Soleil said.

"Once we have our son, I want us to get our own house together. That way we won't have to go back and forth to each other's houses anymore. I want us to have our own together, plus I don't like that your mama and sister know where you live. I know that's uncomfortable for you." I said.

"Very." Soleil said.

"So I want us to have a place together and a solid home for us and our son." I said.

"I agree, I definitely do. I'm so glad you said that, I was hoping you was ready for us to take that step." Soleil said.

"I been ready, I shoulda been said something but now I'm definitely tryna push it, you feel me?" I said.

"Mhm." Soleil said.

"And once we get our place together we'll only tell certain people where we live. No more drama. Just us and our baby." I said.

"Yesss baby, yes. That's all I want." Soleil said as she made my plate and handed it to me.

"Thank you Mookie." I said as I sat down in the dining room table.
