SOLEIL POV

I pulled up to my house after getting my hair done and let out the biggest sigh seeing my mother sitting on my front porch.

It's like as much as I tell her and Desireè they need to leave me alone, one of them always pop up.

Like do I need a restraining order or something? I thought I made myself clear.

After they stole my money and my credit card, I was completely finished.

I been done, but it's like that just sealed the deal for me.

I had to go through so much to get my credit card replaced.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her as I got out the car.

"I can't see my daughter? I spent 12 hours pushing you out." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"That still doesn't tell me what you're doing here" I said.

"I paid you your money back, why are you still mad?" She said.

I chuckled and tried to walk past her but she stood in front of me saying "I asked you a question."

"Mom. Go home." I said.

"I am home." She said.

"This is not your home." I said.

"Come on Soleil, stop trippin. It ain't that deep. I paid you your money back so let it go" My mom said.

"You just don't get it, do you?" I said.

"No I don't" She said.

"Well that's unfortunate." I said.

"You need to talk to me-"

"I don't needa do shit" I said.

"You WATCH YO MOUTH WHEN YOU TALKING TO ME!" She yelled in my face.

"What's gone happen if I don't? I'm done with you. I'm done with Desiree, both of you can leave me alone." I said.

"That's not what I want." She said.

"It's what I want. Move." I said and she grabbed my chin tightly saying "Watch yo got damn mouth Soleil I'm not playing"

I moved her hand and said "Don't you touch me"

"You MY CHILD! I CAN TOUCH YOU! YOU MY FUCKIN SEED BITCH, I MADE YOU!" She yelled.

I chuckled.

"See I was waiting on that side of you to come out." I said and she just looked at me.

What kind of mother calls her own child a bitch? I learned not to let it get to me anymore though.

I came a long way. I was proud of myself.

"Now I know I don't have to say this yet again but I will. Leave me alone. Or I will file a restraining order" I said.

"A restraining order on your mama? Are you serious?" My mom said.

"So serious. I'm tired of playing around wit you." I said.

Tremaine then pulled up in his car and my mom chuckled saying "Here we go. The thug is here."

"Don't start with him." I said.

"I just wanna say hello" My mom said.

"Go home. Like." I said rolling my eyes as I pulled my house keys out of my purse.

"Hey baby" I said.

"Was good Mookie" He said. My mom looked at him and laughed.

"This is where you resort to Soleil? In a relationship with a thug. A gang banger." She said.

"Didn't I just say don't start? And do not disrespect my boyfriend, he ain't do shit to you. And he will not be disrespected in front of me." I said.

"I don't give a fuck about this thug life mothafucka, I can say whatever the fuck I want I'm grown and I'm YOUR mother bitch don't forget it." My mom said.

"Don't say nothing Tremaine, come on let's go in the house" I said grabbing his hand but he pulled me to him saying "Nah hold on, she needa hear this."

He then looked at my mom and said "Now I ain't finna disrespect you because at the end of the day, you still Soleil's mom. But you not gone disrespect me either. I'm a thug, aight that's coo and all, but I'm a thug that shows this beautiful woman all the love you ain't ever did. If you can't do what you need to do as her mother then you should just leave her alone. What do you keep harassing her for? This lil game you and her sister tryna play? We ain't standing for it no more." Tremaine said.

My mom scrunched her eyebrows and then she looked at me.

"You just gone let him talk to me like that? Disrespect me?" My mom said.

"Oh I didn't disrespect you. I'm being firm. Because I have to protect my girl. Come on Soleil." Tremaine said grabbing my keys and he unlocked the door, letting me and him inside. And he shut the door, locking it back up.

"I love you so much." I said to him.

The way he handled that, was so mature. Such a man.

"I love you more." He said back before giving me a big hug, and he kissed my lips over and over.

"As long as I'm alive, I ain't letting nobody fuck wit you. That's on my life Mookie." He said.
