Chapter 108

SOLEIL POV

"Hey Diana!" I said letting her in the house, giving her a big hug.

"Hey baby. How you doing?" She asked me as we both pulled away and I closed the door behind her.

"Not bad, not bad. How are you?" I asked.

"I'm pretty good, hanging in there." She said.

"Well... I called you over here because I noticed you left the engagement party early, and didn't say anything." I said. "So I wanted to make sure you were okay" I added. She sighed.

"Soleil baby I'm sorry for just dipping and not saying nothing. I was just- I was very upset and I didn't wanna ruin your party with my messed up energy." She said.

"What happened?" I asked as we both sat down on the couch.

"Me and your father are not together right now." She said and my eyes widened.

"Really? But I thought-"

"We're not. And that's because I feel like he's stuck between me and your mother. And I noticed him and your mom looking at each other and all that at your party and it was bothering me. So I had to leave before I reacted out of emotion." Diana said.

"I see.. I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. I wish there was something I could do." I said.

"You have nothing to apologize for, none of this is your fault. Okay? None of it. Your father just needs to come to grips with whoever he wants, but one thing about me I ain't gone wait. I'm gone go on with my life. If he wants to be with Ayesha that's fine by me." Diana said.

"I don't think he knows what he wants right now, maybe it's best that he's alone till he gets himself together, you know?" I said.

"That's what I was thinking. That's why when we both were talking, we just decided to end the relationship till he figures his stuff out." Diana said.

"Yeah I understand. I think it's just a hard time for all of you." I said.

"And Ayesha was just staring me down like she wanted to fight me or something." Diana said and I sighed.

"I'm sorry Diana. My mom's upset because of the relationship between you and my dad, I guess it just threw her off you know?" I said.

"Yeah but it's been years since her and Trayvion been together so that's why I was actually confused by her reaction. I didn't know she still had unresolved feelings for him." She said.

"Yeah I know." I said.

"But whatever happens, happens. I'll be okay either way." Diana said.

"And you know I love you and I got your back." I said.

"I know you do baby. Thank you" She said giving me a hug, I hugged her back and said "You're welcome."

I'm just glad this situation between her and my dad isn't affecting my relationship with Diana. I love that about her.

"Let me get going, but I'll call you later." Diana said standing up and putting her purse over her shoulder.

"Okay, I love you" I said walking her to the door.

"I love you more, see you later and tell Tremaine I said hello" She said.

"Will do" I said as she left out of the door and I waved bye as I watched her walk to her car.

I then closed the door and went back into the room seeing baby TJ was still asleep. I got in the bed and he immediately rolled over causing me to chuckle and I laid him on my chest, rubbing his back as he slept.
