Serah POV

"Serah, what's wrong?"

"I need you."

...

The unsaturated blue was slowly shining back but only in worry.

With the back of his finger he tilted my chin towards his face as if he was an inspector and me, suspicious.

"Serah, are you alright, are you having an episode or something-"

I pushed him away as he was coming off as ridiculous.

"Jay, I'm talking about us. I need you. Like, there wasn't even a choice to make.

Kevin was everything I needed growing up, because he was the only one who was honest and never did he reject that part of me that was dormant.

Everyone else tried to push back, the inevitable, but he and grandma taught me all the weird stuff that humans would have stayed away from."

My heart accelerated, pounding till my ribs trembled against each other.

My words were hiding and the sentences came in a rush and were unorganised but I had to let it out. I couldn't stop any longer, not when his eyes awaited a pronouncement, and I could tell that he did not know on which side the scale was tilting towards.

I took a deep breath.

"I liked him, I mean sincerely loved him. I knew no one but him and he is one of the best people this world has.

For me he was my every first.

So when you came along, everything disappeared.

My feelings, my desires, our belonging to each other..."

His eyes softened when his breathing naturally took its usual pacing.

My eyes were useless at this instant; the bond conveyed most of the best part.

All he needed was a confirmation.

That the bond was not lying.

"Jay, you just make sense. I need you-"

Before my mind could make a bigger mess of my speech, my cheeks were warmed in in his palms, and my lips swallowed by frustration and withholding

My bottom lips disappeared, taken over by the humid sensation his tongue was good at. My eyes closed and I dove into his familiar pattern, he explored the interior as if he never had been inside before.

I let him.

Control was the last thing I wanted, now all that mattered was to take back every single second that was missed in this pool of misunderstanding.

I couldn't help but moan as his nibbles were not so gentle anymore.

His fingers migrated to the back of my head, pulling me closer and his kisses dangerously went down to my neck.

My hands explored his back, but he moved away so far that my eyes opened wide.

So did his.

"Serah, I'm going to mark if you stay any closer."

He turned his back on me, searching something in his hair, it might be both our sanity.

"Then do it. I'll be yours, you'll be mine, that's exactly what I want."

My arms wrapped around him, from behind and I could feel his muscles tensing from the simple touch. Well, it wasn't only his muscles that were tense.

Before he could utter any more nonsense, I took the initiative.
