Chapter 137: Who took her

Jayson POV

"We are taking over from now on! You'll go as we say from now on."

Two people took over the scene, calmly stating orders to those council people.

The feminine voice which I was not accustomed to but her smell was somehow familiar.

I was about to ask who she was but the man I almost killed retrieved the command of his body and his vile tongue, as he almost shouted at her.

"And who are you human to be giving us orders?"

Both people exchanged a glance and smirked.

"Iris Silverknight, daughter of the lycan clan."

Long dark hair, as the woman turned around I whispered Serah with hope, but despair took over as only her color palette matched, and somehow their family name.

I tried to interrogate her but the other stranger took over.

"Illan Markens, delegate of the royal family of the Southern Hemisphere."

As they both talked the woman called Iris crouched, and helped me stand.

My reality was shaken, I went from the darkest isolation to a room full of people, and some with faces I've never seen.

Moreover, my mother in law was here, helping me out, taking me away from this nonsense.

Jessica, came to us as each of them took me away from the mess and the man accompanying her was taking care of the titled heads.

I tried to steal a glance at the woman sharing my other half's traits but a long dark strand was hiding her features.

She looked like us, she was aging like us, but her smell remained one of a human. It was fascinating.

As I was absorbed in my observation, I missed the moment both women dropped me on the sofa of my own office.

As my words were ready to take off to her. I was interrupted.

"Iris! I missed you so much!"

Jess launched herself at the woman, and she simply opened her arms to take her in, as the mother's arms snaked around my sister, I felt Jessica relax from the earlier tension, Iris arm tightened as if she got her most precious possession back.

Her hand moved up to her face, and pushed away, they dried up tears, and taking in her features as if years were in between their reunion.

"Oh my girl, are you losing your baby fat?"

She chirped and Jess pouted but hid herself in her neck.

I wouldn't mind staying to witness their affection for one another.

But I felt kind of left off.

I cleared my throat, realising I was indeed thirsty.

"Not to interrupt, but I'm letting you know that I'm here."

I gestured to my entire body and they did break their hug and their eyes followed my hand but Jess was nice enough to answer.

"I know, you can wait."

The insolent girl went back to the woman.

"Iris, you know what happened right? Is that why you are here ? Where is Eos? And who was that man by the way? And you didn't give us any news when we really needed them."
