Serah POV

“I mean, in real time I saw something really interesting in your dna. It shifted but not into something we had never seen before, but something familiar. Something great enough to end war actually.”

I sighed.

It was nothing, was it the third time I heard this melody or the forth.

She was being ridiculous now.

“Olsen, we are coming down, and you'll explain to us but just get away from here.”

I didn't mind her presence. I liked her enough to appreciate her company.
However, not enough to not feel shame about are extremely active moments in here.

Just the sight of those four walls was hard to ignore but the woman did not care one bit.
She was laser focused on me.

Panic was coursing through my veins as I saw her taking grand steps towards me.

Jay lost his footing a bit surprised by her initiative and did not stop her as he was more preoccupied by his tiny towel and his recuperating shoulder.

I moved towards to make her but she did not care one bit.

“Olsen?!”

I called her out but it was too late.
She got my hands together with glitter in the eyes.

“There wasn't much of a change but there was something that I managed to do. Look, Kamil told me that you could smell odorless liquid and you had a certain sensitivity to wolf toxins.
So I had this great idea to make your blood react with toxins and it literally works like medicine and in no way it could be turned to be poison or anything.
You just have deadly power and medicine in your blood, nothing dramatic and only positive stuff.”

She might be saying important stuff but she was in a room we messed with my naked mate and a room in shambles because of our antics.

So I kept her hands together and turned her around to have privacy.

She tried to make a comeback but there was no way I'd let her.

I pushed her away.

And closed the door.

Her mouth might have made some sound but not for now.

My gaze crossed Jay's.

“We need to go and hear her out or she'll come back.”

He didn't look back. His towel was left on abandon, as if the floor wasn't full of clutter and that we said no more temptation.

And I had to suffer through his back flexing and his glutes perfectly chiseled.

I couldn't stop my trails of thoughts neither my feet. I slapped myself when I saw myself following to the bathroom in which I pushed him away a moment ago.

It was inaudible but I did hear him smirk.

The dog, he knew exactly what he was doing.

I was back at the lab.
All white not with an agreeable scent.
Medicine or cleaning products, nothing great.

Why was I the only one inquired  to this place while my mate was actually doing something concrete?

They put all the women in the labs while the men prepared the war, it was kind of sexist.

“Stop mumbling, if you have something to say voice up and it isn't in no way sexist putting the man in the front so they could protect us, even if the strongest of us all is actually a woman.”
