Serah POV
“Them Serah, are the one you were given your powers.”
That man's words stuck into my brain, like some sticky truth that was aiming for my blood.
“Whatever, the hell you tried to do, Jay is coming. Right now.”
However, Kamil words froze my entire being.
As for the cherry on top Olsen's voice almost made ne faint.
“How did he find out?”
Obviously because:
“I did. I told him.”
…
These few words I uttered…
It was chaos rushing into me, as a giant wave unstoppable, undodgeable. It was fate crashing its authority at full speed.
My assumptions were wrong, and the only peaceful bargain we were aiming for, was slowly burning, leaving ashes of a future without fight nor blood.
The biggest obstacle was Jay himself, he won't let me go without putting in a fight.
I could feel my gut churning uncomfortably, it was faint but the feeling was growing painfully.
He was getting closer at an impossible pace.
“Serah, a choice is given to you; either you let these people of yours, behind, or you could watch me annihilate an entire pack.”
I hissed in anger, eyes red that he could threaten me with such an ease.
“Hear me out clearly, If you think you would make your way out alive then your optimism needs a little reality check.”
A signature and a vulture-like laugh.
I was curious about “them”. But the menaces were not welcomed.
“Dear, I only need you. It is you who get to choose if I will act from despair or relief.”
My teeth grinder hard enough that a sand like texture was mixed with the iron I was tasting.
“You know I'll come.”
“I'm coming too, Serah!”
Olsen glared at the man but she was adamant to repair however possible her past mistakes.
“I know Olsen.”
I said to my friend. Even if I fear for her life, I trusted her abilities to burst useful enough to save her.
Here, there was only one worry that needed to be taken care of.
“Would you mind leaving my men alone ?”
The packmates safety. I couldn't risk even one life sacrificed for mine.
The man's steps were getting louder and the sound went higher on the unused laminate floor.
“Serah we'll go. Your men will be left with our army that promised to die for you…”
I wasn't asking anybody to die for me. No more blood, from either sides.
“No give your rogues the order to move away and leave us alone.”
They could harm my people and I won't elope leaving them to fight for a Luna that was safe.
“I would if you confidently tell me that your warriors would let us go quietly.”
Our eyes were inches apart but aiming could not detect any ill feeling towards me, only a longing but whenever he would look away, extreme disinterest would fester his pupils.
The Solutions were not coming to me I would not go with my men in dire situation, solely because of me.
The ruckus was getting louder, and slowly their movements were felt even with a wall separating us.
Well, no more. The wall exploded, bringing in a rogue flying across my childhood space.
If the urgency of the matter was not pressuring me I would have scolded or killed each of these people for destroying my home.
After the rubble settled on the floor, a man came out of the dirt screen.
A silhouette I appreciate but my mission was clashing with his own.
And with a cruel choice I was left.
Kamil's figure started to be recognizable but I could not dare to look at his expression.
Regret rang in my head. I had no other choice but to do the unthinkable.
“Then just knock them out. I want them alive and without any sequels.”
The man smirked. As if the black he wore infused in his action.
“It won't be the last command I would execute in your honour.”
The polite reference was contrasting with the brutal speed with which he transported himself.
The dirt flew to the man's swift movement. Almost like a ghost transporting himself through the given space.
Kamil's eyes had not the time to move away from mine when I heard the crack on his neck.
I suppressed a cry, but when I heard his heartbeat still, all of my men's reassurance reappeared.
My eyes crunched, disgusted by my behavior.
Was I betraying or saving them?
I wasn't sure anymore, the line was fading bit by bit.
The black trail of his clothing came back and my eyes burnt instead of my raging instinct.
I might have asked for this but I was a Luna, and the sight of Red Crescent inconscient on the ground made me want to fight for their honor.
“Dear Serah, if you do not mind could I spray you with this solution?”
His gloved fingers handed us over a flask with a suspiciously odorless liquid.
Green like poison.
Olsen's eyes glimmered as she directly asked the man.
“Is it the potion that enabled your troops to mask their presence?”
My eyes widened. How would she know directly?
“Indeed human, if you are aware, I presume it was your clan that leaked the pre formula?”
She looked confused as I am.
“It was only a hypothesis formula, none of our scientists found the full formula to create the solution.”
The man did let a silence in between. In his thought he was until he gathered his words.
“You might not but those whose objective was the total control of our species did. Thus I stole it from them.”
This conversation had not point. The time-line in his story was messed up. Either we are tricked into a really good thriller movie, and getting kidnapped. Or the truth and reality could be uglier. Uglier beyond our imagination.
“Sir, how did you float?”
The man seemed bored, not interested.
“I'll teach it to our miracle if she has the decency to stand by our cause.”
He was infuriating. I was nice enough to obey through this masquerade.
“Just lead us to wherever you can explain the situations to both of us.”
I cast my gaze towards Olsen, as she seemed to have forgotten that the same man she was following blindly was ready to off her if she wasn't a researcher.
The man bowed curtly and was leading in my own house.
“Serah, now won't be the moment but when we'll settle you'll have to make a choice about your bond.”
“What do you mean?”
“A mad wolf is pushing past its mortal limits to reach you.”
My eyes glowed. Jay.
I pushed aside my affection as I needed the truth before endangering anymore of my loved ones.
I promise, I'm coming back…
...
So sorry for the delay, I got a job and I'm trying to balance it all.
So sorry and thank you for your patience.
Love you'll.
