Walking, talking, Jesus

Liam reads in the old leather notebook – I was twelve going on thirteen first time I saw a... ¿dead human being? - he closes the book and looks at it checking that it is his father's handwriting and mutters –what the fuck?-

Then he continued –It happened in the summer of nineteen-fifty-nine, a long time ago, but only if you measure in terms of years, I was living in a small town in Maine, called Castlerock...-

He stopped and then commented –wow, I can almost hear "Rock-In Robin"- and continued reading the journal –back then my name was... Gordie LaChance?-

That made him look back at the handwriting in the journal, that was information he didn't have, and no one had ever mentioned it before.

When he got to the part where he introduced his group, 4 12-year-old boys who met in a clubhouse to play board games.

Liam closed the book and threw it on the floor saying –and you kept calling me "geek", damn it...-

After taking a breath, Will stood up and picked up the journal again.

He opened it and began to read, he read about the corpse that his friend Vern's brother found and how the four of them had imprudently decided to go look for him in the woods.

When he got to the part where he discovered that he has, or rather "had" an uncle, he was shocked, he vaguely wondered if this story was real or if it was just fiction.

But then he remembered something, he left the journal and opened his closet to search through several boxes, until he found it, an old baseball glove, the same one his father gave him when he forced him to join the team.

He didn't even know why he took it to UIC and didn't leave it in Hawkins, maybe out of nostalgia.

And there sewn inside was the name "Dennis", that revelation made him somewhat uncomfortable, he thought about finishing the reading for today and better work on his graphic design project that was due next week and he was only halfway done.

But perhaps moved by curiosity, he continued reading. When he read the part about the LaChance family, he couldn't help but mutter angrily –damn bastard, if you told me exactly the same thing about my friends... it's a good thing I never met Grandpa-

Liam read the part about the gun and couldn't help but make fun of the "Walking, talking, Jesus"

When he read the parts about Chris's abusive brother, Danny couldn't help but mutter –we were closer to that than you'd think Johnny-

Then Will laughed heartily when he realized that none of those morons had brought food and muttered – well, that would never happen to us with Dustin on the team, that's for sure–

And he continued reading about his father's childhood adventures, until he came across something that made his blood run cold...

In case you didn't understand, yes, I decided to turn Lonnie into Gordie LaChance from "Stand By Me" (1986) I have a good idea in mind, wish me luck.
