A week later, they found themselves at an upscale business party.
The grand hall was lit warmly, chandeliers casting a golden glow over sharp suits and elegant dresses.
The soft murmur of conversations mixed with the clinking of glasses.
Virat and Rahul bhai were effortlessly weaving through the crowd, engaging with clients and businessmen, their charm and confidence filling the space.
On the other side of the room, Rohit stood with Aman and Jassi.
They were watching everything unfold. Well, mostly Rohit was watching someone unfold.
Virat, as usual, looked impossibly good—black suit tailored perfectly, hair slicked back but in a way that made him look sharper, more dangerous.
His smile was charming, his laughter warm, and every time he leaned in to speak to someone, Rohit noticed a few too many stares lingering.
And then... it happened.
A girl from across the room approached Virat, smiling wide.
Without hesitation, she threw her arms around him, hugging him tight. Rohit's eyes narrowed.
Virat didn't hug her back, his hands stayed politely at his sides, his expression calm but distant.
Still, Rohit's jaw clenched.
"Easy, tiger," Aman whispered with a grin, elbowing him lightly.
Jassi smirked. "I didn't know you had the jealous possessive vibe going on."
Rohit didn't answer.
His fingers twitched slightly at his side, wanting Virat closer, wanting everyone to know exactly who Virat belonged to.
Aman and Jassi chuckled when they saw the look in his eyes, the same one Rohit had when he was focused on something—deadly serious.
Aman leaned against the bar, a smug grin playing on his lips as his eyes flicked between Rohit and Virat.
"I guess this is what happens when you spend a private rest day," he said, voice deliberately slow, tossing a wink in Rohit's direction.
Jassi, who had his arm casually slung around Aman's waist, chuckled, clearly enjoying the show.
Rohit, meanwhile, nearly choked on his breath, eyes widening in pure shock at the implication. "It was nothing like that! What are you even saying?!" he sputtered, cheeks coloring just the slightest bit.
Aman raised his hands innocently, a mock-sweet expression on his face. "I didn't say anything, Rohit. You're the one making assumptions." Then with a knowing smirk, he added, "Jealousy looks good on you, though."
Rohit opened his mouth, then closed it, then reached for his glass of water with a dramatic sigh like that was the only thing keeping him from losing it.
He took a long sip, pointedly not looking at either of them.
Aman leaned over again, stage-whispering to Jassi, "Notice how he didn't deny the jealousy part?"
Rohit put the glass down with a clink, glaring at both of them. "I swear to god—"
And they just chuckled seeing Rohit's state, as it was the first time he was jealous.
A few minutes later, Virat finally made his way back, standing beside Rohit like he'd been there the whole time.
His hand casually slipped to Rohit's lower back, fingers resting possessively.
