The soft golden morning light streamed into their bedroom, casting a gentle glow across the sheets.

Virat blinked his eyes open, taking in the peaceful rise and fall of Rohit's breath beside him.

He smiled, leaned in to kiss his forehead gently, and slowly slipped out of bed without waking him.

After a quick, refreshing shower, Virat moved to the kitchen.

He kept it light—some toasted multigrain bread, fresh fruit, and warm masala chai.

The comforting aroma filled the house, and with two plates ready, he made his way back to the bedroom.

The sight that greeted him made his heart melt—Rohit still bundled up in the blanket, hair a mess, lips slightly parted, completely lost in sleep.

Virat sat beside him on the edge of the bed and gently rubbed his shoulder. "Rohit... baby, time to wake up."

Rohit stirred a little, his eyes fluttering open as he caught sight of Virat.

Without a word, he reached out, looping his arms around Virat's waist and pulling him close into a sleepy hug.

"Morning..." he murmured against Virat's chest, his voice hoarse and soft with sleep.

Virat chuckled, brushing his hand through Rohit's messy hair. "Morning, baby."

But Rohit just buried himself deeper in the hug, refusing to let go.

"Just five more minutes..." he mumbled, holding on tighter like a child refusing to leave the warmth of his blanket.

Virat smiled, pressing a kiss to the side of Rohit's head. "You're too adorable for your own good."

They stayed like that for a few minutes—just silence, warmth, and the soft thudding of hearts close together.

Then Virat gently rubbed his back and whispered, "Come on, love... breakfast is ready, and you need to shower."

Rohit let out a tiny groan but finally looked up with sleepy puppy eyes. "Only if you give me a one more hug."

Virat laughed softly, leaned in, and wrapped his arms to which Rohit buried his face in his chest. "Now go, before the tea gets cold."

With that, Rohit smiled lazily and sat up, dragging himself out of bed with Virat's fingers laced in his for a second longer—just enough to carry the warmth into the day.

The two of them sat across from each other at the small breakfast table by the window, the soft morning breeze filtering through the curtains, carrying with it the scent of toast and chai.

Rohit, now fresh from his shower, his damp hair falling over his forehead, wore one of Virat's old oversized shirts—his favourite thing to steal.

Virat couldn't help but smile at the sight, leaning on his palm as he watched Rohit quietly nibble on a piece of toast, cheeks puffed slightly as he chewed.

"What?" Rohit asked, eyes narrowing playfully as he caught Virat staring.

"You look like a baby bird trying to eat its first meal," Virat said with a grin.

Rohit blinked, mock-offended. "Excuse me?"

Virat chuckled, leaning forward to wipe a tiny crumb from the corner of Rohit's lips with his thumb. "You're the cutest baby bird I've ever seen."

Rohit rolled his eyes but couldn't hide the soft blush on his cheeks. "You're so dramatic in the morning."

"You love it," Virat teased, resting his hand over Rohit's on the table.
