'You're staring, Mama,' Sylvie snickered.

Am I? Well... can you blame me?

My eyes were glued to the figure standing before me. He was tall, with flawless sun-kissed skin, silky-looking long auburn hair that he kept tied back, and his eyes... by the stars, his eyes... they were a gorgeous azure that I could just get lost in.

'And now I think you're drooling,' Sylvie laughed.

Shaking my head, I quickly knocked myself out of my own thoughts. I did a quick assessment, seeing he was dressed in student council attire and... damn he looks muscular... I mean, yeah, the uniform looks good.

He tilted his head to the right, looking over me into the room, "What's got you so upset, Clive?"

"I take it you haven't heard, then," Clive snapped from behind me. "The director wants to change the student council around?"

He raised a brow, "Does she now?" His eyes flicked down, and when his gaze met mine... beautiful.

'We get it. You think he's attractive. My goodness,' Sylvie complained.

'Shut up, Sylv.'

The corner of his luscious-looking lips curled. "Excuse me, Love."

My body tensed, and I shrank back slightly, "W-what?"

He let out a deep chuckle, "You're blocking the way."

My brows raised, and I suddenly felt like an idiot, "O-Oh. Right." I quickly sidestepped out of the way, nearly tripping over my own feet.

My eyes were locked on him as he stepped into the room, and he smiled kindly at Cynthia. "Good morning, Director."

Cynthia returned his smile, "Good morning, Arthur."

So, Arthur is his name.

Arthur walked around the table and grabbed the back of one of the seats. "So, what changes are you thinking of making?"

Cynthia stood up and turned toward the table. "Well, seeing that this is going to be the first year that all three races will be attending Xyrus, I was thinking of having Tessia Eralith," Cynthia gestured back to me, "be in charge of the student council."

Arthur took his seat and sat comfortably as he rested his right ankle atop his knee. Arthur hummed and raised his brows, "Really?" His eyes flicked to me, and slowly, his eyes looked me up and down.

My face felt hot in an instant, despite feeling an intense shiver run down my spine. It was almost like he was undressing me with his eyes.

Arthur's gaze met mine again, and he gave a devilish smirk, "Makes sense to me."

"What?!" Clive shouted, looking astonished. He glared at Arthur, "How can you say that? You're supposed to be the president!"

Arthur looked at Clive and casually shrugged, "It's just a position. Plus, having her in charge will show inclusion so that the other races won't feel like outcasts. Another point is, who better to lead us during this change than the elven princess?"

My eyes widened, and my stomach dropped.

'How did he know?'

Clive looked surprised, and his head snapped to me, "P-Princess? She's the princess?"

Arthur rolled his eyes. "Seriously? How could you not realize that? Silver hair and her last name is Eralith. It's not that hard to deduce."

'I guess that answers that question," Sylvie said.

I clenched my jaw, a little irritated at this turn of events. Since now on, they would undoubtedly treat me differently since I'm royalty.

The brown haired girl and blonde boy both looked surprised in the back, and shared a glance. Clive seemed to relax and stood straight.

"Oh, I see," Clive began, his voice softer. "I guess she could be a good addition."

I mentally sighed, and my shoulders fell. This was what I was afraid of...

Arthur rolled his eyes. "Don't go treating her differently now because of her status."

My eyes widened and shot to him, feeling surprised.

Clive's brows furrowed, and he looked at Arthur, "I wasn't—"

"Yes, you were, and don't deny it," Arthur argued, cutting Clive off. "Don't assume what kind of person she is just because of her status."

'Looks like he doesn't care about you being a princess,' Sylvie commented.

My lips curled slightly, 'Yeah.'

"Whatever," Clive huffed, then looked at the director. "Alright, Director. But, what about Arthur?"

Cynthia looked at Clive, confused, "What about him?"

Clive crossed his arms. "I mean, is he no longer going to be on the student council since Princess Tessia is taking his place?"

"Tessia," I interjected, speaking for the first time. Everyone looked at me, and I had to remind myself not to flinch under their gaze. "Just call me, Tessia."

Arthur smirked, "Tessia, it is."

I met Arthur's gaze, and he tilted his head slightly as he stared into my eyes. My body tightened, and I quickly looked away when I realized he wasn't going to avert his gaze.

Cynthia smiled at me before looking at Clive, "To answer your question, no. Arthur will be staying in the student council. He will be assigned as Tessia's vice president."

Arthur's brows raised, and his eyes snapped to Clive.

Clive went as still as a statue. One would think he died on the spot, until he tightly said, "Excuse me?" His eyes narrowed. "I'm the vice president."

Cynthia nodded, "Yes, you were. However, seeing the new changes, we had to move people around."

Clive pointed at Arthur, "Just give him a new position!"

"I am," Cynthia said calmly, despite Clive's yelling. "He will be the vice president."

Clive slammed his palm against his chest and gritted his teeth. "Then what about me?!"

Cynthia gestured to Clive, "You shall be the public relations director."

Arthur let out a chuckle, "Clive? The public relations director?"

Cynthia nodded, "Yes."

Clive shook his head. "Tell me you're joking."

"No," Cynthia said sternly, then crossed her arms. "Now, either take the position, or leave this room and the student council."

Clive clenched his jaw before he looked to the side and scoffed, "This is ridiculous. Fine."

"Splendid," Cynthia began, and stood up. She walked to one of the couches, sat down, and smiled at me, "All yours, Tessia dear."

I met her gaze, smiled, and nodded. I gestured to the table, noticing everyone was staring at me, "Everyone, please take your seats."

The brown haired girl and blonde-haired boy nodded as they began to walk toward the table. Clive gumbled as he took his seat.

Walking to the table, I cast a side glance at Arthur as I walked around him, and grabbed the seat beside him. I pulled the seat out and sat down, crossing my right leg over the other.

Taking a steeling breath, I smiled. "Good morning, everyone. My name is Tessia Eralith, and I will be your new student council president."
