Tessia Eralith POV

'Oh my gosh!!! I'm so bored!'

My lips curled slightly, hearing Sylvie's complaints as I scribbled in my notebook. Looking up, my eyes fell on her fluffy frame, seeing her lying out lazily on the table in front of me.

'Don't worry, we're almost done.'

"Now that we have that settled," I began, once I had made the last of my notes. I looked up. "Does anyone have anything else they would like to add?"

My eyes flicked across the table, seeing Clive and Arthur still writing. Clive has held the same irritated expression ever since we started this meeting. Honestly, it was beginning to look really punchable.

'Do it. You won't.'

'Don't instigate, Sylv.'

Sylvie snickered.

Arthur, however, his soft-looking lips were curled ever so slightly as he sat relaxed in his seat. Those azure pearls of his were locked on his notebook, though, I swear I caught him glancing at me from time to time. I wasn't imagining that, right?

I then looked at the brown-haired girl, whom I now know as Lilia, and the boy sitting beside her, who said his name was Jarrod. They both seem really nice, and I think we will get along nicely. I'll try to get closer to Lilia, since it would be nice to have some female friends.

Lilia looked at me, smiled, and shook her head, "Nope. I have nothing to add."

"Nothing on my end," Jarrod added, still writing in his book.

Clive scoffed, "Nothing on the public relations side." He said something under his breath, but I didn't catch it.

My eyes flicked to Arthur, "What about you?"

"Just one thing," Arthur said, and looked at me. "Where do you want to meet tomorrow?"

I tilted my head to the side, and my brows furrowed. Suddenly, my eyes widened as I realized what he meant. "Oh, shoot. I almost forgot!"

Arthur smirked and winked at me, "That's why I'm here."

My face suddenly felt warm, and I quickly averted my gaze, looking down at my notebook.

'Do you need to get some air, Mama? You're looking a little red?'

'I'm fine,' I said, sounding more defensive than I meant to, earning an annoying snicker from Sylvie.

I cleared my throat and began to write in my notebook, "The assembly is at seven thirty, so let's meet here an hour beforehand. This way, we can get everything in order and walk over to the auditorium together."

Clive raised a brow, "Why can't we just meet there?"

I looked at Clive, "Because I said to meet here. Is there a problem with that?"

Clive looked like he was about to say something.

"No problem," Arthur said, writing in his notebook. He smiled at me, "We'll meet here then."

"Good," I began, letting out a breath. I smiled at everyone around the table. "Then this concludes our first council meeting."

"Splendid," Cynthia said from the back, and stood from the couch. She smiled at me, "Some good discussions, if I do say so myself."

I returned her smile and nodded.

"Now," Cynthia began, beginning to walk over to the table. "You're all dismissed. But, Arthur, Tessia, can you both stay for a moment? I have something to discuss with you two."
