(M/N) was in his office, twirling the pen in between each finger and he just thought. Really about nothing, but there wasn't much else to think about lately. He really had no motivation to be Deadly Dragon's leader anymore, never did, really.
"Enter." He said before a knock could ring out in the room, having known someone was creeping up to talk to him.
His eyes widened ever so slightly in surprise. The door was gently shut as Aran leaned against it, hands behind his back and he was just staring. He regarded (M/N) for a moment and he could hear the tap of Aran's fingers against the door.
"Don't use that freaky ability on me, ever again." Aran said, sounding more civil than before. He wasn't accusing (M/N) of anything or sounding harsh, in fact, his voice was just that. A mere voice.
"Wouldn't say paranoia is a freaky ability."
"It is when it expands to the entire mansion." Aran said.
(M/N) couldn't help but laugh, a soft sound that rang out and his shoulders shook slightly. Aran eyed him wearily. He's never once laughed at something Aran said, at least not genuine, and he hasn't made Aran want to crawl in his own skin and tear it apart. Not yet at least.
(M/N) stopped laughing suddenly and stared at Aran, "What do you want? Why are you here?" He cut straight to the point.
Aran had always admired (M/N) in a way, never one to beat around the bush and still holding all the control when he gets an answer he hates. Most people can't keep their temper in check, but (M/N) is quite composed, up until it came to Aran accusing him of many things he did do. Then his skin got all prickly. Only Aran pissed him off that much.
"What's your plan?" Aran asked.
(M/N) raised a brow and leaned back into his chair, "Plan? For what?"
"On how to move forward. You killed Alizer and everyone's talking about it. You also killed the remaining followers of Alizer in front of everyone, as an example. So what's your plan now? How are we going forward?"
(M/N) was quiet and then he gave a one shoulder shrug. Aran spluttered out incoherent curses and glared at him. (M/N) sighed and got up, pushing in his chair and making him seem taller than he actually was.
"No plan." He simply said, walking past Aran.
Aran grabbed his bicep to stop him and (M/N) almost ripped his hand off. He yanked himself out of Aran's hold and glared at him. The white of his blind eye piercing through Aran's entire body.
"You need a plan." Aran finally said when (M/N) wasn't leaving. "There's more to do."
"Of course, but that's not my problem." (M/N) said.
"Yes it is, that's your job, oh leader." He sneered out, calling (M/N) his superior left a gross taste in his mouth.
"My only plan was to take everything from Alizer and kill him while he begs for his blood to be back into his body. And I got that, so if you'll excuse me," he waved his hand to Aran and opened his office door.
"The (L/N) I know always has a plan." Aran crossed his arms and he watched him critically.
(M/N) stopped for a moment, he tilted his head to look at Aran. He ran a few fingers through his hair and his lips twitched up in a smile.
"I believe this is the first time you've said my name." Was all (M/N) said, he leaned against his door and shrugged again. "Make sure not to touch anything in my office, I'll know." With that, he closed his office door and walked to his room.
Now this time, as he looked in thought, he was actually thinking. He and Aran were never going to be close, but they were civil and that stupid man shed some light on (M/N). He actually couldn't believe he was listening to Aran and repeating his words in his mind.
