A/N: Sorry I meant to update like 2 days ago, but I was lazy and didn't write. But there might not be another chapter for a while because I start school in a week:( And then I'll be really busy.

Riley
I looked at Farkle confused.
"Wha-huh?"
He looked at again, the worry in his eyes turned to pure terror.
Mrs.Minkus looked up from her cookbook.
"Riley, would you like to stay for dinner?"
Ignoring Farkle I plopped down on the couch and turned on the tv.
"I would love to."
*next day*
Maya
I swiftly opened the doors to the school and rushed inside. It's too early for anyone to be here yet, which means I can take a shower in the locker room. I go to Mr.Matthews classroom to drop off my books. I can hear the footsteps stop at the door.
"Nice to see you today Miss Hart, but school doesn't start for 2 hours. Care to explain?"
I sighed, always in my business.
"I was just about to ask you the same thing."
"Well I'm a teacher, you're not.
This is my classroom, not yours.
I have keys to the school. You don't."
"You have a family, I don't."
I mumbled quietly under my breath.
Somehow he managed to hear it.
"Why don't you stay at my house again tonight? I'm sure Riley wouldn't mind."
I shook my head and grabbed my stuff.
"Excuse me I need to shower before class starts."
*few hours later*
I sat in history and looked between my three partners. Lucas made eye contact with me and gave a small smile.
He looks good when he smiles.
Wait what did I just think?! Lucas is a jerk, end of story.
"So...Maya how's your family?"
Farkle questioned.
I wanted to shrink to the size of an ant and just run away.
"It's fine. Nice black eye."
He gave a satisfied nod and continued his work.
We are making absolutely no progress.
"Maya stop."
I looked up quickly at Lucas.
"Excuse me?"
"We all know your family is a mess. Your dad got you arrested and then tried to hurt you."
I felt Farkles arm tense up.
"Plus your sister is raising a baby all on her own with barely any money."
That's only half true. She still has the stolen money, but knowing Kelsey she probably already spent it.
"Your family is a mess."
Lucas was right, but not just about my family. My entire life is a mess. I'm taking showers in the freakin locker rooms and I'm sleeping in anything that's warm. I don't know where my next meal will come from, that is if I even get a meal. I started to feel like the room was closing in on me, my palms started to sweat, I could hear my heart beating rapidly. My breaths became shorter and quicker.
"Maya, are you okay?!"
I heard, but it felt like their voice was miles away.
"Maya!"
Everything went black.
