Maya
I'm back in school today since skipping school caused me almost to get killed by my father. Riley has been looking at me funny all day, does she know something I don't?
By lunch time I was ready to just run away from home. I can't deal with my life anymore, a 16 year old shouldn't have to be out through this.
"You little backstabber."
I heard in my ear. I spun around and came face to face with Lana.
"Oh hey Lana."
She rolled her eyes.
"Hey?! That's all I get?! Maya! Where have you been?! You've missed 2 days of cheer practice and I heard about you staying at the Matthew's house!"
Lana lowered her voice more.
"Riley is a geek who doesn't even deserve to breathe the same air as us. She's changing you Maya and I want you back."

Lana doesn't scare me that much. Unless you get her mad, then she's a complete b****.
"Okay, okay. Trust me that freak show of people will never get to me."
Lana's eyes lit up and she smiled. Good she's back to normal.
"Good or else then you would become my next target."
She went off laughing. I sank down to the ground and banged my head against the lockers. My life sucks.

Riley
I lingered outside the door, questioning whether to knock or not. After Farkle's little visit last night, I cleaned up his face and questioned his behavior even more. He didn't come to school today which was highly suspicious. What if something happened to him?!
My consciousness got the best of me and I knocked on the door. I could here the shuffling of feet and someone mumbling. Finally the door whipped open and there stood Farkle.
"Farkle!"
I jumped up and hugged him. He felt stiff and tense.
"Riley... What are you doing here?"
His tone sounded disappointed.
I put my arms down.
"After last night and then you skipping school today, I started to get worried. Sorry for trying to be a considerate person."
I was about to turn around and leave when Farkle grabbed my hand.
"No, please don't be mad. I know I've been acting really weird and I'll explain it all later, but you have to leave right now!"
"What why?!"
He started to push me out the door.
"Please Riley just trust me!"
I held onto the wall with all my strength.
"No Farkle! I'm not leaving until you tell me who is hurting you!"
He stopped struggling.
I loosened my grip on the wall.
"I-I can't tell you."
I grabbed his shoulders and shook him roughly.
"Farkle, you and I are pretty smart. You should know that if someone is hurting you then you need to speak up."
Before Farkle could answer a pretty blonde woman walked through the door.
"Farkle! You have a guest?"
I smiled.
"Hi I'm Riley."
"I'm Jennifer Minkus. Farkle's mom."
Mrs.Minkus brushed past us and headed to the kitchen.
Farkle turned to me with worry in his eyes.
"Help me."
