Maya
I took another bite of cookie dough ice cream and scrolled through my Twitter feed once again. "Sick days" are honestly the best. Except I'm not sick. Topanga thought Riley, Farkle and I have had some stressful days and we just needed to relax. A knock at the door snapped me out of my happiness trance. I opened it and froze.
"D-dad."
He awkwardly waved.
"Any reason you're at my doorstep?"
He turned to the left pretending to be very interested in the fake plant.
"No not really. Just came to see how my daughters doing."
"Yeah I'm going to close this door now."
I slowly started to shut it when he pushed it back open.
"No, wait! Okay I'll tell you. I need you to go to our- I mean my house and take everything you want from your room."
I stared at him confused. Why now?
"And I should do that because?..."
My voice quickly trailed off.
"I'm moving out."
Oh wow my dad actually found a woman be can not only have sex with, but mooch off her for shelter as well!
I started to close the door again.
"Okay thanks for the somewhat dreadful visit dad. See you at your funeral."
He cut his foot in between the door and wall.
"Maya, you need to know who I'm moving in with."

Riley
I heard crying, but almost happy crying. Maya probably finished another TV show or something. I turned back to my homework, but the crying continued.
Man there's not peace and quiet in this house what so ever!
I stepped out into the hallway expecting Maya to be sprawled on the couch balling, but the noise was coming from my parents room. Now I've heard a lot of noises from there, but this one I actually know what's going on.
I slowly opened the door to find my mom lying across the bed. Her hair is a mess, her clothes are all wrinkled and there's mascara running down her face.
"Mom! What's wrong?!"
She opened one eye cautiously and slowly sat up.
"I guess I could practice telling you before I tell Cory."
She took a deep breath.
"Another Matthews baby is coming!"
My entire body froze.
"You mean I'm gonna- I'm gonna be a....big sister?!"
She nodded waiting for my reaction.
I got up and started squealing and laughing. I've always wanted to be a big sister! I ran out of the room.
"Riley, wait!"
But I ignored her. I dragged Farkle on to the couch with Maya and clapped my hands together.
"Topanga's having a baby!"
Their faces lit up and they hugged me and congratulated Topanga, who had made her way out of the bedroom.
"Don't worry Riley. I'll be here so you don't completely ruin this kids life."
Maya said jokingly. I rolled my eyes, but continued smiling. Things are finally turning around!

Maya
I couldn't concentrate on Topanga's after what my dad told me. The laughter died down and I grabbed my phone and coat.
"I'm gonna go um...tell Lucas the great news!"
Everyone nodded and I ran out to the hallway not looking where I was going. I smacked into someone and could feel hot liquid all over me.
"What the?!-"
Charlie stopped yelling when he saw it was me.
"What's your problem Hart?"
I crossed my arms over my now ruined shirt.
"I don't have a problem with me Gardner, I have a problem with you. There's no reason for you to be showing up at Riley's apartment. She's over you, and frankly so am I."
He chuckled a little, it creeped me out.
"Okay. Believe what you say, but I always drag them back in."
I rolled my eyes, but soon remembered why I had ran out of the apartment so fast.
"I have to go. I really need to talk to Lucas."
Charlie grabbed my arm before I turned around.
"So he can tell you that your parents are moving in together?"
My jaw dropped and I was completely speechless.
"How-did you know t-that?! I just found out about it like 10 minutes ago!"
Charlie smiled.
"A Gardner always knows the best secrets."
I pushed him against the wall, causing Charlie to stumble back a little.
"Well this Gardner needs to stay out of my business."
I looked up and down his body.
"And get a haircut."

I knocked on the door expecting Lucas to answer like usual. Instead a woman with short blonde hair in a business suit answered. I recognized her as Lucas's mom, but the last time I saw her was at my dads office.
"Maya!"
She pulled me into a hug, she smelled like expensive perfume and salon hair products.
"I'm so glad to see you!"
I awkwardly grinned.
"You too Mrs.Friar."
She laughed and put her hand on my shoulder. I tensed up a little.
"Oh please, don't call me that! Since we're family now, call me Katherine!"
My mouth went dry. What does she mean family?!
Lucas's face appeared from behind his mom.
"Hi Maya. Mom can we uh- have a second?"
Katherine nodded and headed back inside.
Lucas stepped onto the stoop and shoved his hands in his pocket.
"What's up?"
My hands balled into a fist. Anger surged through me. I threw my hand up and punched Lucas in the face.
"Ow! What was that for?!"
Lucas yelled with his hand over his eye.
"How could you not tell me that our parents are living together?!"
Lucas looked up speechless.
"Ummmmm....Maya?"
"I mean I thought we were friends and friends tell each other everything. Okay maybe not everything since you and I both clearly have some trust issues but-"
"Maya!"
Lucas cut off my babbling.
"Our parents aren't only moving together, they're getting married."
