A/N: Wow I haven't updated this book in like a week! I'm sorry guys, but I had a really bad cold this week and then yesterday I was at a football game (which we lost because we suck) and I lost my voice from screaming so much! But now it's a long weekend so here's a chapter!

Maya
I sat at the usual table with Riley, Lucas and Farkle.
"Okay so what does friendship mean to us?"
Riley asked, twirling her pen ready to right.
Farkle smiled at her.
"Trust."
She blushed a little, I wonder what that's about.
Lucas had his head on his desk.
"Hey hop-along wake up! What's friendship mean to you?"
He shrugged.
"I wouldn't know, I hate all my friends."
There was an awkward silence after that.Lana's absent today and she's my only friend in my lunch. I could sit with other girls, but they would only let me out of true fear. I grabbed my lunch packed by Mrs.Matthews and headed to the library. I walked over to a table and let out a small laugh.
"Of course you're in here during lunch."
Riley didn't even glance up from her book.
"I'm not a big fan of cafeteria food."
I silently nodded and took a seat next to her.
"So you never talked anymore about the poem after you stormed out of the bathroom."
I could feel Riley roll her eyes.
"That's a shame we never got to talk more about it, but the thing is I don't want to talk to you about it."
Riley was about to leave when I grabbed her arm, it's like a reflex now.
"This is all bull Riley and you know it. I don't care if you like Lucas! We don't like each other! Everything that's happened between us means nothing, he's still a self-absorbed jerk!"
I half-yelled to get Riley's attention.
"God- Yes I know you don't like him Maya! But I heard about how he saved you from your dad... He likes you Maya."
I heard a book fall behind me, I whipped my head around and let out a small gasp.
"No. Lucas wait!"
I yelled as he stormed out of there.
I followed him all the way to the exit doors.
"Come on Lucas don't leave, let's talk about it."
He pushed opened the doors and left, it was pouring rain outside.
I didn't care.
I ran down the steps, it's not that easy to catch someone when you can barely see them. Lucas finally stopped and turned around.
"What do you want from me Maya?! One minute you're best friends with all of us and then the next minute we're strangers! Do you like me or not?!
Even though it was raining I could feel the tears pouring down my face.
"God I don't know Lucas! No ones ever cared about me before, I don't know how to show affection for someone. I.Cant."
He just shook his head and walked into the rain.
"Lucas! No you can't just leave me!"
I reached out for his arm, but tripped in a puddle. The water soaked through my clothes, my hair was caked with mud now.
"Lucas. Please!"
He stopped for minute, barely turning his head towards me.
"Everyone always leaves me, why can't I do the same?"/////////////////////////////////////////
