Chapter 27 Like Father. Like sorta Daughter.

A/N: Woah wait what? A chapter on a Wednesday?! I know I'm sorry I'm off schedule, but I wasn't actually busy yesterday and this is just like a filler chapter so PLEASE READ THE AUTHORS NOT AT THE END! (And I'm sorry the chapter title sucks😂)

"The annual class trip is this weekend. Your bunking assignments are posted on the board."

Matthews went on and on, going over the stupid rules of the trip. We have to be civilized young adults and make our school proud. Yeah I think we missed that when one of our students was arrested in class. Poor kid must've been so ashamed.
Oh wait.
That was me!
Hey, what can I say?
I always like to give other people that spotlight and that's exactly what the school board got.

Anyway back to this trip. It's basically an excuse for kids to hook up, but this time it's at a ski lodge, so you have to make your own steam.

I don't even want to go and I have 5 good reasons.
1. Lucas will be there.
2. Farkle, who basically took me on a date will be there.
3. Riley will be there.
4. Charlie, will be there. That little bastard.
5. We'll all be together.

Yeah this isn't happening. I walked up to Matthews desk, maybe I can beg my way out of this.
Riley cut in front of me before I got there.
"Maya! Why are you still in here? We have a major problem!"
"What now?"
Everyday something just has to go wrong.
"You and I are bunking with Lana and some friend of hers."
Crap.
I poked my head around Riley.
"Matthews, we have a real problem here."
He sighed.
"Maya I know Riley is tall, but just walk around her!"
I rolled my eyes and slammed my hands on his desk.
"That's not it! You put your daughter and I in the same room as two trampy cheerleaders!"
"Just a few months ago you were just like those girls Maya."
Wait he never calls me Maya.
"So Maya what snacks do you wanna bring?"
Riley asked, obviously trying to distract me.
"What? No! No! None of this is happening! I'm not going."
I stormed out of there.
"Maya!"
"Mr.Matthews I really appreciate all you've done for me, but you're not my father so stop acting like it."
I whipped open the door and ran down the stairs.
Oh man I'm skipping school.
Haha oh wait that's right!
I don't care.

Riley
I watched Maya run out of school.
Crap. I can't survive an entire weekend with 2 cheerleaders, they're gonna kill me!
I walked back into my dad's classroom, he was laughing.
"Dad how can you be laughing? Maya isn't going!"
"Oh sweet little Riley. Of course she is! Who do you think signed her permission slip?"
He held up the white piece of paper.
Oh thank god my dad never gives up on people.
Even Maya.

Okay hi, just like 2 things:
1. So the next couple chapters idk 2-3 will be all on the ski trip. (Kinda like girl meets Texas but not exactly).
2. Remember a while back when I asked you guys to pick between 2 plots? And one would become a book? Okay that process is going really slow because I always have A TON of homework and then I update this book on the weekend. SO. That new book will probably come out either around Thanksgiving or late December. (Because I have school off) Okay and I'm so sorry for all the filler chapters lately! I promise the next one will be long and awesome!
