A/N: Haha okay so I was gonna update yesterday but then I had to finish my summer reading because I had 3 months to do it and waited the night before it was due:) procrastinating at its finest. But now I don't have any homework tonight! YAS!

Maya
I dashed down the hall, not even caring that I'm supposed to be in class. Or that I have no idea where Riley is, I just need to get out. I stormed into the bathroom and turned on the sink. The cool water splashed against my face like my skin coming off.
"Ditching class again, this shouldn't become a habit."
I turned off the sink and turned to Riley. She eyed the piece of paper, knowing what it was. I slid the poem across the counter, it laid still.
"Why'd you write a poem about Lucas?"
She grabbed the paper and stuffed it in her pocket.
"Now I don't think that concerns you in anyway now does it?"
"It does if that girl in the poem is me."
Farkle
I impatiently sit in the stool, my fingers won't stop tapping against the counter.
"Ah man stop! Your fingers sound like explosions!"
I groaned, this skip day turned into a lets-get-Lucas-drunk day. I grabbed his arm.
"Come on let's just go home. Th bartenders getting suspicious anyway."
Lucas loosely flung his arm away.
"Nah I come here all the time, he's cool."
I groaned, I can't just leave him here. What if he gets robbed or something?
"Besides we don't got no home. We're just like Maya....orphans."
I sat back on the stool, this just got interesting.
"What about the place we slept in last night?"
Lucas shook his head.
"Th-they just sit there, staring off into space. The silence is killing me Farkle! I can't take it anymore!"
He started pounding his fists against the counter, people started staring.
"Lucas come on let's go to the park or something."
I finally got him out the door, but he just kept looking at one of the skyscrapers.
"Maya and I are more alike you know. That skyscraper is what brings us together."
I shook my head, this guy is full of crap. He doesn't know what he's saying.
"Come on!"
