It's been a long week. And then today I had to go to my great aunts 90th birthday party and I literally knew like 10 out of the 100 people there not even joking. I've been so stressed this week I haven't even had time to write and you're probably thinking I'm on thanksgiving break now, well I still have school Monday and Tuesday:(. THANKS WHOEVER DECIDED THAT.
PLEASE PLEASE READ THE AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END.

Maya
I watched the snow fall from the trees on to the ground, we passed dozens and dozens before getting to the main road.
"How long is the ride gonna be? I don't really know where to go when we get to the school."
Riley twisted her hair on her finger as she blabbed on and on.
"I don't know. Clearly you don't want my help."
"If it gets me home then I do."
I rolled my eyes and turned back to the window. My eyelids started to feel heavy. This weekend has been so stressful, no wonder I'm so tired. I deserve a nap.

Farkle
I looked across the aisle from me. Riley's flipping through magazine and Maya's sleeping. She looks so peaceful and gentle.
"When can I come see your foster home?"
Lucas asked excited.
"Look Lucas. You seem nice, but our project's gonna be over soon and then we won't have to be around each other anymore. You don't have to be so nice to me. Besides all those jocks are your friends."
He shook his head.
"Ever consider that I get tired of talking about sports and girls? I wanna hang out with you because we have fun. I've never opened up to anyone like I have with you. Shouldn't friends see each other's houses?"
I sighed. He can't come over.
"No. The parents don't like company."
Lucas looked down at his feet.
"Oh. Okay. Maybe you can sleepover at my house then, you know since my mom..."
I nodded, we talk about his mom all the time.
"Farkle, ever since my brother di-died I have felt alone. I think of you as my brother. You,Maya and Riley have been more of a family to me than my real family."
I internally groaned.
"I can't keep secrets from you. I'm not staying in a foster home, I'm living in my apartment alone."
"Why?"
"B-because my foster home is the Matthew's."
Lucas opened his mouth, but was interrupted by a loud screech of the brakes.
"Uh looks like we have a flat tire. Everyone will have to get off the bus and wait in the diner until the mechanic gets here."
A loud chorus of groans and exasperated signs came from the students.
I stood up and hurried off the bus, making sure to get ahead of Lucas.
The diner is 60s style and it even has a jukebox, I sit on a counter stool and survey the menu.
"I'll have a piece of cherry pie."
The waitress smiled and put in the order.
"Can I sit?"
Maya asked.
I nodded.
"Where's Riley?"
Maya pointed outside.
"Charlie wanted to talk to her."
"Shouldn't you help her? Charlie's kinda a dangerous topic for her."
Maya shrugged.
"She doesn't remember him and won't believe what I tell her."
I looked back outside. Charlie was smiling and laughing, just like Freddie Krueger.

Riley
"You wanted to talk to me?"
I asked Charlie as he led me by some trees.
"Yeah. I know you lost your memory and I feel really bad about that. I mean my girlfriend doesn't even remember me, it's pretty hard."
I looked behind me, was this guy talking to someone else?
"Yo-you mean me girlfriend? I'm your girlfriend?"
Charlie nodded happily.
"And as your boyfriend I feel like it's my job to tell you something very important. You need to know your accident was caused by Maya, Lucas and Farkle."
He took a shaky breath before continuing.
"I-I was too late and now you don't even know me."
A single tear fell down Charlie's face. I wiped it away with my finger.
"Oh baby no. I may not remember you, but I believe you. Don't worry if it's up to us, those three won't even see what hit them."

Maya
I spun my finger in my hot chocolate while Farkle picked at his pie. Lucas sat down in between us.
"Maya, you've been drinking a lot of hot chocolate lately. A craving I see?"
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Um I guess?..."
He nodded and rubbed my shoulders awkwardly.
"You know I'm here for you right?"
I nodded suspiciously.
"Sure. But I'm actually pretty good right now, except for Riley."
Lucas smiled and stood back up.
"Stay strong my little Amazon warrior."
I gave Farkle a very confused look, but he just shrugged.
"Okay the bus is fixed! Let's go home!"
I got up and rushed to the door. Riley was waiting in her seat when I sat down.
"Still not talking?"
She shrugged and smirked.
"We'll see."
