Thrown Into Trouble

Who, What, Where? part 2

Blake's pov
Dylan had moved his chair over to my desk, so he is sitting beside me. I look around the room at everyone who is mostly all looking at me and Dylan probably wondering why exactly they were told they need to come here immediately. The only people not looking at us are Colton, Toby, and Drew and that would be because Drew is talking to Colton and Toby is with Colton so he is also hearing what they are talking about. Clayton and Maria go from looking at me and Dylan or well mostly Dylan to then looking at Danny since he is the one that called them but they still are looking at us from time to time. "So is anyone going to explain what is going on here and why we had to rush here?" Drew says breaking the silence "yeah Blake and Dylan why don't you tell us why they all need to be here?" Colton says with a snarky attitude "Colton" Danny warns and Colton just rolls his eyes but doesn't say anything else "ok seriously what is going on here" my dad says. I look at Dylan who looks pale but he has been looking pretty pale since yesterday especially after he threw up multiple times. He looks at me and I can tell by looking at him I am going to have to tell them because he's not going to be able to say it and I don't want him trying to explain and then end up having a panic attack or getting sick because of it. I take a deep breath before turning back to everyone else "last Sunday Alex decided to leave and we don't know where he went or why he left" I say "you couldn't have worded it like that when you told us?" Colton questions "he's got a point you started the conversation with us by saying that Alex is gone" Danny says.

He has a point there but this isn't helping the situation we are in "that's besides the point" I say "Toby could you let them see the note?" Dylan asks very quietly it was almost a wiper which is very unlike him and everyone in this room knows that, especially some over others. Toby nods and hands the note Alex wrote to my mom and dad for them to read and after they read it they give it to Clayton and Maria to read. Once they read it they handed it to Drew which if I'm being honest he's who I'm most worried about, him and Colton are a lot alike although I don't think he is as likely to punch us or well me in the face like Colton did. Drew puts the note down on the end table we have by the sofa before looking at me and Dylan "what did you two do?" he asks dangerously calm. That is the one slight difference with Colton and Drew Colton will yell and act on emotions where his dad takes a moment to think about what's going on and is eerily calm which is worse in my opinion. I feel Dylan grab my hand and his hand is shaking, I give his hand a gentle squeeze and hold his hand before turning to Drew, "that's the thing we don't know what happened" I say "how do you not know what happened?" my dad asks "we asked them the same thing" Danny says. Toby gets up and comes over to me and Dylan which I'm not sure if that was a good idea since he was keeping Colton calm or well somewhat calm to the point he wasn't going to beat me and Dylan to a pulp. "Pull up the security footage from last Saturday night around dinner time in the playroom, that will start to answer some of your questions" He says.

Holy shit how did we forget about the cameras? We had them installed for emergencies and situations like this and when we need them we somehow forget about them? I swear I feel really fucking stupid right now. I grab my laptop and plug it into the projector we have because sometimes like in instances like this we need to show a lot of people a video or footage and we can't all hover around a small computer screen to see it. I pull up our footage after turning the projector on so everyone can see what I am doing and I go back to last Saturday and then go through it until it shows Alex and Jacob going into the playroom "stop, start playing it from right there" Toby says and then goes back to sitting beside Colton. I stop skimming through it and then let the footage play and you can see Alex leading Jacob into the playroom and once he does Jacob goes to sit down on the floor and Alex goes to the playroom door. Jacob then asks Alex where he is going and he says to see Toby which you could clearly hear in his tone that Alex wasn't very happy "someone wasn't very happy" Clayton says. Everyone else nods in agreement, "Alex then came to ask me if I wanted to go and play with him and Jacob well he technically didn't say Jacob he acknowledged him as him and not his name" Toby says. It's a good thing I paused it because we would have been missing information if I didn't because I can tell there is more that is going to be said after what Toby said.
