Thrown Into Trouble

Alex's pov
I yawn as I stretch but I keep my eyes closed for a moment longer. I rub both my eyes before opening them, I woke up big which is a good thing in my opinion considering Knox is still here and will be here all day and also possibly tonight but i'm not sure about that. We hadn't decided if he would stay the night tonight too or not, it really just depends on if we have school tomorrow or not. I sit up on the bed that I now realize I am alone in, I guess Blake and Dylan must have gotten up earlier I think to myself. I turn to look at the clock and it says it's 11:15 so they definitely had to have gotten up earlier and it's definitely time for me to get up for today. I got up and decided to take off the onesie I have on and then I will put back on Blakes hoodie and put on the same pair of Dylan's sweatpants I had on last night which are sitting on a chair they have in the room. Since no one was in here I quickly changed in their room instead of going into the closet or bathroom to change. Once I was done I grabbed my phone and pump handled that I am guessing either Blake and Dylan got and brought in here considering they were in the guest room/my room last night and I didn't bring them in here with me, I didn't even bring them with me into Danny's room. But either way I grabbed them and then made my way downstairs, I figured everyone was downstairs considering the time so that's why I just went straight down stairs instead of checking up here for anyone. When I got downstairs I went into the living room and saw Knox sitting on the floor playing with Ginger and it made me smile seeing him having fun with her after what happened yesterday. He deserves to be happy and have fun, he's a kid and a little one at that.

"Alex!" Knox says once he noticed me "hey sweetheart" I say and go over to him as he was getting up. As soon as I got to him he made grabby hands at me so I picked him up and he hugged me and I hugged him back. After he stopped hugging me he still wanted me to hold him so I held him and brought him with me into the kitchen which is where everybody else was, including Shadow and Snowflake who were drinking water and eating food. The second I got into the kitchen I was noticed "good morning or well afternoon darling" Dylan says which then makes everyone else's attention go on me "good afternoon" I say and then take a seat at the counter and Knox sits in my lap. "How are you feeling?" Danny asks "ok" I say, I knew what he meant by that but for anyone who didn't know what happened early this morning they wouldn't think anything of it "that's good" Danny says and I nod. I noticed Blake and Dylan sharing a look with each other and sharing one with Danny as well but I don't have time to focus on that because I was being poked. I look down at Knox in my lap and he is already looking at me and the second I looked at him he stopped poking me "do you need something sweetheart?" I ask "can I have a snack please?" he asks "well what time did you have breakfast?" I ask "it was around 7:35 and he had a snack at 10" Toby says. If he already had one snack then he should probably have lunch now I mean it is lunch time "how about instead of a snack we have lunch?" I ask "ok!" Knox says. I then got up and sat Knox down in the chair I was just sitting in "alrighty then what would you like for lunch?" I ask "hmm nuggies" Knox say "we can do that but what else would you like with it" I say.

Knox took a little bit longer on figuring out what he wanted to go with it but I didn't mind waiting for him to make up his mind. I could tell the exact moment he figured out what he wanted because his facial expression gave it away "banana and strawberries and some cheese" he says "ok sweetheart" I say and make my way to the fridge and pull out the regular chicken nuggets from the freezer not the gluten free ones and then I get out the strawberries. The bananas were already out and on the island in a fruit bowl, "what type of cheese would you like?"I ask Knox "umm colby jack and cheddar" Knox say "ok" I say and get both of those out luckily we had both of them. I honestly kind of forgot other people were in the kitchen until Toby closed the fridge after I got everything I needed out of it "I can help you" he says "that's ok I got it" I say "you also need to eat honey" Blake says "I know and I will" I say. It was silent for a moment as I got a kids plate out of the cabinet that was just solid blue, I decided I could at least give him the fruit and cheese now while he waits for the nuggets to cook which I also already set the temperature on the oven so it will be all heated up by time i'm done with at least cutting the cheese. But before I even got to that I was stopped "I'll make your lunch while he makes yours so what would you like to eat darling" Dylan asks and I know there is no point in telling him I can do it myself after I finish making Knox's food he's still going to do it anyways. I sigh and then turn and look at him "a nutella sandwich but toast the bread please" I say "ok darling" Dylan says and then goes to get the stuff to make my food, that still left Colton, Toby, Blake, and Danny just in the kitchen watching us cook.
