"Serena's been in jail for over four hours. She's served more time than Nicole Ritchie and Lindsay Lohan." Blair stressed as she paced the halls of the police station where the entire group remained. Chuck, Nate and Ophelia sat against the wall on the right. "She's a socialite mistakenly accused of stealing a bracelet. I doubt they're working her over with a phone book." Chuck dismissed, exhausted from sitting in the halls and waiting for his stepsister to be released. "When I called Lily, she said she was on her way. Where is she?". Blair countered back, her brain working in overtime the more she paced. "B, would you sit down? You're creating a draft."
Refusing to acknowledge her cousins comment the Waldorf girl simply glared towards Ophelia before Nate spoke up to ease the tension. "I can't believe she had her own daughter arrested. Who does that?". "Someone who's never been arrested." Chuck concluded despite also wondering the same thing. "Whatever lesson Lily is trying to prove is only going to backfire with this." Ophelia rubbed her temples gently to ease a growing headache, leaning forward whilst Nate simultaneously rubbed her back.
"I'm Lilian Bass. I'm here for my daughter - Serena van der Woodsen." The sound of Lily's voice had every teen turn their heads towards the front desk, the older woman found herself even more uncomfortable as she took note of the disapproving looks, she received from Ophelia and Blair in particular. Both girls now stood in the hallway with their arms crossed against their chest to emphasize their emotions.
The group watched as Lily bypassed them and entered a nearby office where Serena had been stored. "How bad do you think the fallout will be?". Nate questioned whilst the group continued to wait. "I'll be surprised if Serena even goes back to the apartment." Blair confessed, knowing her best friend better than anyone. "Lily definitely messed this up." Chuck admitted, nodding her head towards the front desk once more where none other than Lily's mother made her appearance known. "She must've been Serena's call." Ophelia deducted, standing once again as the older woman paused in front of them.
"I believe my daughter has created a rather unorthodox scandal." Cece spoke in her usual disapproving tone. "Ms. Rhodes, what a surprise." Ophelia greeted cautiously, waiting for the downfall to begin. "Is my granddaughter in there?". The older woman questioned to which Blair nodded her head eagerly. "Yes. Lily just joined her." "Very well then. You lot should go home, get some rest."
Without another word CeCe Rhodes stepped into the nearby office and closed the door behind her, once again closing the teenagers out despite them having been there since the moment Serena had been booked.
For those who complain about the youth of today if you think we're bad you should've seen our parents.
"Hold up, Serena stayed in jail? You're joking right?". Ophelia questioned as she found herself looking through some old photo albums from when herself and Nate were just children. "She said she was making a stand to her mother - to prove to her that she was an adult." Blair explained to her as she sat comfortably on her cousin's bed. "By staying in jail?". The heiress needed further confirmation, trying to figure out how the van der Woodsen thought that was the brightest idea there was. "She could've at least gone to CeCe's or something. Now she's missing prom out of spite."
