For the rest of the country Thanksgiving is when families come together to give thanks. But on the Upper East Side, the holiday thankfully returns to its roots: lying, manipulation and betrayal. And from what we hear, just like the Indians someone else is being pushed of their home.
"Not only are Cyrus' moving boxes everywhere but so are his annoying relatives." Blair complained as she walked down the corridor of Constance alongside Ophelia and Serena. "Well they can't be that bad. Aaron always talks about his nana." The blonde girl tried to defend as they continued their rather fast pace down the hall. "Oh, Sylvia? She kissed me on the cheek. She left a big orange lipstick mark. It looked like I'd been spray tanned. And Cyrus' nephew spent the morning talking to me about corn, grain of the future and his sister asked me to go shopping with her."
"Oh, well that's sweet." Ophelia tried justifying, quietly feeling grateful for the time she'd been able to avoid meeting Cyrus' extended family. "At Century 21." Blair snapped back causing the heiress to wrinkle her face in disgust. "Ugh. The horror." Serena rolled her eyes as she spoke, not understanding why the Waldorf girl was so bothered by all of it. "But even though Daddy isn't coming, I am determined to have the perfect Thanksgiving I didn't get last year. You're still gonna help me make his pie tomorrow?"
The heiress simply nodded in response, knowing she'd be there regardless as her mother had flown in a few days earlier and was yet to fully catch up with her sister. "Yeah, but I can only stay for a couple of hours. Aaron is coming to meet my family before Thanksgiving dinner." Serena gushed about her artist boyfriend once more it caused the ravenette to roll her eyes in exhaustion. "How do you plan on introducing him? 'Mom, you DVR Big Love. This is Aaron and he's just like Bill Paxton only younger and with scruff.' I'm serious. The Serena I know would never wanna share a guy she really liked with anyone else."
"Seriously S, don't you remember how bad everything was with Nate, and you, and me... and Blair. Now suddenly you're okay with an open relationship?". Ophelia pushed, confused as to how her blonde friend out of all of them was the one to experiment with open relationships. "Well, I'll admit, it's been hard, but I like him enough that I don't want to date anyone else and you can't get the prize if you don't compete, right?". Serena tried justifying but her entire demeanor was off, instead of bouncing off the walls with happiness she looked deflated the second Aaron's other women were brought up. "What exactly is the prize? A lifetime supply of insecurity and questions?". Ophelia outlined, not bothering to fake being Aaron's biggest fan.
"I'm with O, there are so many things wrong with that sentence. Ugh. Here comes your ghost of boyfriends past to haunt me." Blair sighed, looking down at the ground to avoid eye contact with their oncoming guest. "Please, just try to be civil?". Serena begged causing the brunette to simply nod in response. "Okay." "No promises." Ophelia pointed out as she saw Dan nearing the trio.
