"Veer ji..."
He turned, his gaze still guarded.
"I am not talking about this... I am talking about the mistake I did."
Veer's eyes sharpened, a flicker of pain crossing his features.
"Not even in my life."
Sanjana's heart sank, but she knew she...

AUTHOR POV
After a while, Chavi and Nishant went to their room and Sanjana and Veer returned to theirs. As soon as Sanjana stepped inside the room, she couldn't stop smiling. Her face was glowing with pure joy and excitement. Veer watched her silently for a few seconds, his expression softening at the sight.
Without saying a word, he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her gently against him. Sanjana stilled for a moment and then relaxed into his hold. Veer rested his chin lightly on the top of her head, breathing in deeply.
"It's been a while since I saw you this happy," he murmured in a low, tender voice.
Sanjana just smiled, unable to put her emotions into words.
"All thanks to Chavi and Nishant," Veer continued, a small smile tugging at his lips. He turned her carefully in his arms so she was facing him. His hands cupped her face gently.
"Stay like this... always happy," he whispered, brushing his thumb across her cheek before leaning down to place a soft kiss on her forehead.
Sanjana closed her eyes, feeling warmth bloom in her chest-safe, cherished, and understood.
***** After some time, they all gathered for lunch. The dining hall filled with the warm aroma of freshly prepared Italian dishes, and sunlight streamed through the large windows, brightening the room.
Chavi and Nishant were already seated when Veer and Sanjana arrived.
"There they are!" Chavi exclaimed dramatically. "We thought you two ditched us and ran off somewhere romantic!"
Sanjana laughed, taking a seat beside her. Veer shook his head playfully and sat next to Nishant. "Trust me," Veer said with a small grin, "if anyone dragged us away, it was Sanjana with her excitement."
"Hey!" Sanjana nudged him with a mock glare while everyone laughed.
"So, how was the flight?" Sanjana asked Chavi and Nishant.
"Horrible," Chavi groaned. "I stayed awake the entire time while Mr. Husband here slept like a baby."
Nishant smirked. "I was conserving energy for adventures."
Veer burst into laughter. "Some things never change. You still sleep like a rock."
"And you still wake up before sunrise," Nishant shot back. "I don't know how you do that."
