CHAPTER 55- "Maybe."
HELL's MEMORY BOX
"Chua, okay lang 'yan. Normal lang magkaron ng crush sa kapa--"
"ISA NA LANG," I said, looking at her with threatening eyes. "Isang-isa na lang Heaven Rodriguez. Kapag hindi ka parin tumigil, sinasabi ko sa'yo, may gagawin akong siguradong hinding-hindi mo magugustuhan."
"Chill," she said, holding both of her hands up in surrender. "Pikon ka talaga kahit kailan," she added, laughing.
Tiningnan ko lang s'ya nang masama, tapos ay walang imik akong lumabas mula doon sa student council room kung nasaan kaming dalawa. I walked out of there feeling so pissed.
"Seryoso?! Galit ka na agad sa akin dahil lang dun?!" sigaw n'ya habang nakasunod sa likuran ko. "Come on, magkaron ka naman ng humor kahit minsan!"
Hindi ako sumagot, mas binilisan ko lang ang paglakad. Now I'm even more pissed.
Humor, she said? Galit na daw ako agad dahil lang dun? Haha, she's making me laugh. Wala akong pakialam kung ilink ako ng iba kung kani-kanino, I don't give a shit. I don't give a shit, so long as it's not her doing the linking! Fvck.
"Uy, hindi mo talaga ako kakausapin?" Nakasunod parin s'ya sa akin.
Hindi ako sumagot, para akong walang narinig.
Seconds later, I heard the sound of her footsteps coming to a halt.
"Bahala ka nga," sabi n'ya. "Pikon!"
What she said hit a nerve again, but I'm just so tired of it all. I don't have the energy to shout or even look at her anymore. Nagpatuloy na lang ako sa paglakad. Hindi na s'ya sumunod sa akin pagkatapos noon.
"Shit!" I yelled out after turning to a corner. Sinipa ko 'yong basurahan na nadaanan ko.
Heaven pisses me off most of the time, but she had really done it now. I am really really pissed at her right now.
Ever since that day I first met her sister in the music room, ever since she saw how breathless I was when her little sister smiled at me... Heaven started teasing me EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. DAY. Sa tuwing magkakasalubong o magkikita kami, lagi n'yang sasabihin sa akin,
"Chua, okay lang 'yan. Normal lang magkaron ng crush sa kapatid ko. Pero kung gusto mong ligawan si Gel-gel, dadaan ka muna sa akin."
"Grabe, si Helldric Stanford Chua, naspeechless at sobrang natulala sa harap ng isang babae? Hindi ko inasahan 'yun! Hindi ko alam na mga katulad ni Gel-gel ang tipo mo!"
Sa tuwing magkikita kami, Heaven's always like that. Always talking senseless things about her little sister and me. Always teasing me about how entranced I was with her little sister's smile. Always insisting that I have the hots for her sister. Always. Always. Always.
But what the damn woman didn't know... What she didn't know is that, her little sister's smile took my breath away at that time, not because it was so damn beautiful, but because it was so damn close to hers (Heaven's). Angel's smile looked breathtaking in my eyes at that time, because for a second I thought it was Heaven smiling sweetly at me. That's the truth. And the damn woman has no fvcking idea.
