My Dream becomes True

I took my phone and saw the numbers, 4 numbers. They weren't bad, I mean it was better than nothing. I called the first one but suddenly, my phone turned into black mist.

"Dark magic." Selena warned.

"What does that mean?" I said trying to catch the mist.

"It was black. Good wizards use white magic. Someone is nearby."

"Let me guess." Kate said, "He's looking at us right now?" She was looking to my right, Selena and I followed her gaze. I saw a tall boy, we seemed to have the same age, he was 17 I think.
The boy had straw-colored hair and blue eyes. He was an inch longer than me. He was wearing black jeans with a purple t-shirt. He was looking straight at me smiling.

"You did that?" I yelled, "Who are you?"
He gestured at me to come closer.

Selena took my wrist: "You can't. You don't know him. He might hurt you."

She was right, I couldn't trust anyone. I looked at the stranger who had his hands in his pocket, then took a step forward.
"I'll be fine." I told Selena.
I headed to him, not knowing what to say or do.

The boy gave me his hand to shook it, but first I asked: "Who are you?"

He looked behind me and I guessed he was looking at Selena and Kate.
"You should call them too. They must listen as well." He said.

When we were all finally there, I looked at Kate who was staring dreamily at the boy. The guy wasn't so impressive, he was tall, skinny and sickly pale. But just as I told you, I don't know how a girl's mind works.

"Who are you?" Kate asked and for a moment I thought she got back to her senses.

"And what you did to the phone," Selena interrupted, "it was dark magic wasn't it?"

The guy smiled: "First, I'm Fred. And yes it was dark magic, but don't worry, I won't use it on you. I did it because you won't find what you seek from those persons. I am the one who has
answers, trust me."

"That's difficult." I said.

"Jace Ford. It suits you, really." Fred said and looked at Kate, "And Kate Ford, his sister." Then he turned to Selena: "I thought you would never get back to sorcery after what happened."

I didn't understand what he meant. I looked at Selena who was hiding a secret now. We locked eyes for a few seconds, then Selena looked at Fred and asked: "You know what happened? You were there too! Then I think I should tell you the same thing."

He laughed a little and looked at her: "Yeah you're right, I was there. But I had no connection with what happened, unlike you."

I was listening to them arguing, but if I needed answers to my many questions, I had to react before they start killing each other.

"Hey. Please, what are you two talking about?" I asked them.

Selena glared at Fred then turned to me: "It's nothing Jace. Forget we brought that up. What do you want to ask him?"

I thought for a minute. I needed to ask him a wise question, but the first question I got in mind was: "What happened to Paul Ford?"

Fred's smile faded, his eyes turned dark blue. He opened his mouth to say something but instead, green smoke got out of it. I was terrified, that scene reminded me of Kate transforming. I wanted to run, but my eyes got heavy, and everything turned black.

I woke up in a tropical forest, wait what?!!
I looked around me, this time I turned back, and I saw what seemed to me a river in my dreams, I mean a normal river. The weird thing about that river is that instead of water, was pure gold training. In front of me was, like I had dreamed, mango and banana trees, also, a path of dirt.
