The screaming of the Breakers was heard in every single corner of Rome. But I couldn't see anything now. I just closed my eyes, and everything turned black.

"Jason?" I heard a familiar voice.
"Jason. Wake up."
I opened my eyes. Jaz was in front of me. I looked around me, I was in the WI. I knew it from the room. I was lying in the same bed.
"Jasmine?" My voice was low.
She just threw herself on top of me and hugged me tight. I wanted to hug here as well but I had no strength.
"You're alive!" She said, almost laughing.
"You look disappointed."
"At all!"
I took a deep breath.
"My sister, she's dead, isn't she?"
"We haven't heard anything about her. Luke doesn't want to talk_"
"Luke's here?!" I tried to get up, but Jaz held my shoulders.
"No! Stay here. You can't get up now, not before you eat something."
"You didn't answer my question." I said coldly.
"Yes he's here. He doesn't want to talk about her at all. He says when they disappeared in ancient Babylon, she hadn't disappeared with him."
A conversation with Luke wouldn't change anything. I knew the fates of my sister, and speaking with Luke wouldn't bring her back.
"The Breakers?" I asked.
"They ran. After you shot your father, they retreated."
"What about your mom? We're in Manhattan. You live in Rome."
She lowered her head.
"I think I'm going back then."
'Oh' was the only thing that escaped my mouth.
"Ha! Just kidding! My mom is here. She's going to live in Manhattan."
I was so relieved I sat on the bed and pulled Jaz so she could rest her head on my chest.
"Oh... Jaz... You're the best!"
She pulled away, thinking. After a good quiet moment. She smiled.
"Aren't you going to give me your thanks? Just like you promised?"
"Yeah. Sure!" I replied. "You ask what you want."
"Fine." She said. "Eat first, then we'll see. Anyway, Paolo wants to see you."
As soon as she said so, the door opened, and Paolo stepped in.
Jaz looked at me one more time, smiling, before she closed the door behind her.
"Hey." I said.
My uncle smiled at me, before a tear from his good eye traced its way down his cheek.
"I've never thought you would kill your father." He told me, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"After all, he couldn't have been saved. But you're sister there_"
"I don't want to talk about it." I interrupted.
"I need to forget. There's no way I can undo what happened."
"No indeed." Paolo took a deep breath.
"But your friend there isn't happy."
