*MAKAYLA'S P.O.V*

I sat at dinner with my parents well my adoptive parents. See I live in Mount Weather, and when they started to bring people from the outside inside one of them was pregnant. My parents were unable to have a child so the doctors gave me to my parents today because they said my real mother wasn't strong enough and died after birth.

I saw two boys both with dark black hair smiling and joking around together. I sighed and ran a hand through my very long brown hair I wish I could joke around with someone like that, or come from space and have crazy adventures outside; but I couldn't. I was stuck in mount weather, a place that smelt of month balls and aging people.

"Uh h-hi, my friend Jasper and I were wondering if you wanted to come and sit with us?" One of the boys said, I looked up to him with a small smile. He was really cute, his long brown hair covered his forehead and his brown eyes were beautiful. His brown eyes bored into my bright green ones, I looked to my parents who gave the boy a warming smile and nodded.

"Go ahead dear." My mom said, I nodded and stood up and followed the boy over to the table where his friends sat.

"I'm Monty by the way." He said before we sat down, I smiled and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Makayla." I told him, he smiled and sat down, I took the spot next to him and the other boy who I'm assuming is Jasper smiled at me.

"Jasper Jordan at your service." He said sticking his hand out other the table. I put mine in his and smiled.

"I'm Makayla, but you may call me princess Makayla." I said playing along, the three of us bursted out laughing, I hadn't laughed in a long time.

~~~ FOUR DAYS LATER ~~~
I pulled on a pair of shorts and a plain T-shirt before Monty came out of the other room dressed in as pair of jeans and a blue button up. "Ready?" He asked me. I nodded and grabbed his hand pulling him out of my families apartment building after giving both my parents a hug and a kiss.
"I can help you Monty, but I want you to know something." I said stopping him, he looked at me confused. "I may not make it out of here. My real mom was from outside, but I've been in here so long I may not be able to live out there." I told him he looked down in realization.
"So by doing this, I'm killing you and your family?" He said quietly.
"But don't think of it like that. The way I think of it, its one hell of a way to die. Saving your people. You guys can make a life out there, mine can't. They'd be stuck in here forever." I told him. He sighed and wrapped his arms around me. I squeezed his shoulders and he squeezed my waist. "I'm sorry about what they did to you." I whispered. He shrugged.
"I'll live." He mumbled, I smiled lightly.
"We best be going." I said taking his hand and lading him to where Jasper and Mya were supposed to meet us. When we got there we found two other people. A man with shaggy black hair who was dressed like a gaurd, and a blonde girl with a warrior outfit on.
"Who are they?" The girl asked.
"They're with us. They'll help." Jasper said.
"Hey I know you." I said turning to the man. "You're Bellamy Blake. Mya told me about you." He nodded.
"And you're Makayla." I nodded.
"Alright and I'm Clarke, now let's go." The blonde said, Mya and I nodded.
Jasper and Mya went a different way so I took the others the to the control room. "Its all in here. Now whatever you're doing make sure you do it right. You've only got one shot at this." I told them thy nodded.
"Thank you Makayla." Clarke said putting and hand on my shoulder I nodded.
"Hey, I'd rather go down still believing then go down knowing I could have helped." I told her making her smile a little. I gave her and Bellamy each a quick hug.
When I turned to Monty my vision was blurry. I shyly wrapped my arms around his neck tears streaming down my face.
"Please be safe." I told him, he nodded.
"You too." I kissed his cheek quickly before turning and smiling at the three.
"May we met again." Bellamy and Clarke said, I wiped away a tear and nodded.
"May we met again." I replied before turning down the hallway and running towards my apartment. When I got in I found both my parents laying on the ground bloody and blistered, but still their hands were linked together.
I fell to my knees in front of them tears streaming down my face. "I'll make you proud." I whispered. I can't believe that I didn't die, I can't believe that when they took off the air I still lived. Here I still am.
I grabbed a back pack and stuffed some clothes in it and some food and water that was in my apartment.
I started running through the hallways until I finally found a door that would lead me outside, grant me a new life.
I grasped the cool metal in my hand and slowly twisted the hatch, when the door swung open I was greeted by a bright light and the smell of fresh air. The trees were the richest green I've ever seen and the sky was the as blue as a diamond.
But I knew what I had to do, I heard some gaurds talking about the camp Monty's people set up. Its just east from here, I took out my father's compas and walked in the way it said east.
*MONTY'S P.O.V*
I left the tent where my wound was tented to when Bellamy came up to me.
"I have something to show you." He said.
"Can't it wait? I just lost someone I love." I told him, he smirked.
"Trust me its worth it." I sighed but followed him. When we got to where he wanted I saw the back of a girl with a backpack on.
"Alright green eyes." Bellamy said, I know one person with green eyes and such long brown hair. When she turned around I felt my heartbeat pick up and a smile spread across my face.
"Monty!" Makayla exclaimed running up to me. I caught her in my arms and sounds her around making us both laugh. I nodded to Bellamy who nodded back and walked away.
"I can't believe it. You're here." I whispered. She nodded.
"Apparently a grounder mother is good to have." She replied. I set her on her feet but still didn't let go.
"Thank god you're safe." I said before leaning in and pressing my lips to hers.
