Murphy// someone I know

*JODY’S POINT OF VIEW*

I laughed loudly as my best friends Jasper and Monty wrapped me in their arms’ for a big group hug. When i was just young my parents died on the Ark, Monty’s family took me in as their own. These boys were like brothers to me.

I looked over to my friend Murphy and gave him a small smile. I wouldn't really call him my friend, he’s more of a -- I actually don't know what he is, he's just someone I know. I was shocked when Murphy smiled back at me though. Jasper nudged me in the side with a smirk making me role my eyes. “What?” I asked sassily, he shook his head with a smile on his face. “Nothing.” he replied innocently. “You're not innocent Jasper, just stop.” Monty said making me laugh.

“But I think you should go talk to Murphy y’know.” Monty said, “Why am I the victim here?” I whined making them both laugh. “Actually I think we're the victims of your endless ‘undressing each other with just your eyes” with Murphy.” Jasper said the smirk never leaving his face. I glared at the both of them and stalked off not wanting to be with them at this moment.

I sat on a log by the huge fireplace, my head in my hands. I sighed and ran my hands through my short dark brown hair. “Mind if I join you?” I heard a voice ask. I looked up to see Murphy standing there, his hair tossled and messy, his stormy grey eyes looking down at me, and his hands stuffed in his pockets.

I smiled and nodded, “Not at all.” I said moving over so there was some room for him to sit. He obeyed and sat down beside me, I could feel him staring at my pale freckled complexion as I stared at the ashes that once use to be a beautiful fire.

“So, I was wondering if you wanted to meet me tonight so we could get to know each other better?” Murphy finally asked, I looked up at him and nodded.

“Yeah i’d like that.” I said smiling, he nodded and smiled slightly.

Maybe he could be more than someone that I know about.
