"they said they want it for their lounge room" i said "well i think it's perfect" i agreed and stopped tampering with it before i ruined it. i got up and they were both there snacking away. i wiped my hands on a rag and lily looked up smiling at me. "you got a little something" she grabbed the rag and wiped my forehead. i smiled at her and she looked into my eyes with a grin
"okay get a room" rose threw a chip at us and we heard more of the team arrive. i disappeared to my room and i heard everyone deciding on what pizzas to order.
i must've fallen asleep cause i woke up to lily in my room. "you share a room with your brother?" she asked.
"yeah. i could put my bed in the office, lizzie said i was more than welcome too i just haven't, mattie's not annoying so" i shrugged settling back into my doona.
"i'd die without my own space, but i guess i am a bedroom kid" "i was until i moved in with lizzie, now i really only sleep in here" "that's good though, means you feel safe here" "you don't feel safe at home?" "oh no, my dad just has a boring taste in shows and doesn't change it no matter what"
we all left lizzie's to head to scarlett's for the team dinner (i just realised i can change ts, we're going to scarjos now)
the drive to scarlett's was chill most of the team was there when we pulled up and lily said i had to come get dinner before the team eats it all. i protested with a simple im not hungry and i dont like pizza.
around 10pm everyone that doesn't live here was gone but lily monica and i. mon and rose were upstairs probably macking the adults were asleep already and lily and i were in the guest room.
"what are you most scared off?" the blonde asked me into the dark of night.
"that if people get to know me they'll dislike me for who i really am" i said thinking for a second. she didn't say anything after that which made my heart pick up. "shit was i supposed to say something like spiders"
"no no you're all good baby, i was just thinking about your response" she rolled to her side propping herself up on her arm. "what's not to love about you y/n, what are you hiding"
"i'm not hiding anything, you just haven't asked the right questions yet"
"good answer" she smiled. she brushed some of my hair behind my ear and her hand settled on my cheek. "you're so pretty sunshine"
heat rose to my cheeks instantly and i had to hide my face. "hey come on that wasn't even flirtatious" she pulled me back up to look at her. she pulled me in by my waist and i smiled as i leaned into her.
"you're a flirt" "cmon that's just me baby" she leaned in slowly and i smiled closing the gap.
"guys! wanna- oh" and suddenly there was a flash on us. i pulled back and saw mon and rose. "come on we're going swimming"
we looked at eachother and laughed before following them. "one of these days i'll remember to bring a swimsuit here" lily said taking her shirt off.
we all got in and swam around, chicken wars all that.
it was like 1am when we got out. rose got out first and ended up dripping all over my clothes. i scolded her and went got out to grab a towel.
i walked back into the house without thinking about it and when lily and i were back in the room looked down and my arms and realised.
lily was looking at me, but not in a judgemental way more like she was admiring me. she came over and gave me a hug.
i couldn't help but tear up though. "i'm so sorry, i don't mean to just show my scars to people, i know they can be jarring to look at, even for me and it's not like im ashamed per say it's just-"
"y/n, it's okay" she ran her hands down my arms and held me dearly. "i love every part of you, even the parts you want to hide away"
"lily?" i asked my heart racing all of a sudden "yeah sunshine?" "will you be my girlfriend" her face went into a million different emotions before she nodded eagerly "so much for taking things slow" i shook my head with a laugh.
she picked me up and chucked me on the bed crawling ontop of me. "i love you so much y/n" she kissed me again.
it went no further than another makeout and i wore her swim hoodie to bed and some pyjama shorts of roses. i slept with my head in the crook of her neck, with out legs entangled, our hearts in line.
