─· Evangeline woke from the grasps of sleep with a light headache and a leather jacket laid over her. When her eyes flickered open she registered the sunlight that fell down, warming her face and a small glimpse of both Sam and Dean.

They leaned against a fence, beers in hand, and they seemed to be arguing. No big surprise there.

Still the sounds of their rising voices made her want nothing more than to fall back asleep.

"What? That I don't turn evil? That I don't turn into some kind of killer?" It was Sam who was harshly spitting the words out.

"I never said that!" Dean rebutted.

What the hell were they going on about?

'Jeez, if you're not careful you will have to waste me one day, Dean."

Her head started to ache and the sleepiness returned.

"I never said that! Damnit, Sam, this whole thing is spinning out of control. All right? You're immune to some weirdo demon virus, and I don't even know what the hell anymore. And you're pissed at me, I get it. That's fine, I deserve it. But we lay low until we figure out our next move, okay?"

"Forget it." he scoffed.

"Sam, please, man. Hey, please. Just give me some time. Give me some time to think, okay? I'm begging you-" Dean was mid sentence as Evangeline slipped back into sleep.

Evangeline sat on the motel sofa anxiously tapping her foot. "Well what were you guys fighting about?" she pressed.

Dean clenched his jaw, refusing to meet her eye. "Nothing that should make him get up and leave in the middle of the night!" The frustration and worry were clear in his voice.

It had been merely two days since Croatia and while Evangeline thought things could only go up from there, it turned out Sam had up and left in the middle of the night.

No note, no answering his phone or the several texts Evangeline sent, it was radio silent.

"Well where the hell could he be?"

"I don't know," he hissed out. He paced back and forth, eyebrows creased and shoulders tense.

"Look relax Dean, stressing isn't gonna help" she stood up "let's start making calls. Ellen, Bobby, anyone you can think of".
