Dyllons P.O.V

At 7PM sharp, Nathan knocked on my door. I was positive he was making up for being so late last time.

I shut the door behind me, and followed him into the hallway. "Where are we going tonight?"

"It's a surprise." He smiled. "Any guesses?"

"No clue," I said. "Can't say I handle surprises very well."

"For some reason that makes sense," Nathan grinned.

"What does that mean?" I laughed.

"I think you like control," Nathan replied.

"Of my situations, yes." I nodded. "Very much so."

"Are we walking?" I asked.

"Yes, it's quite close by, if you don't mind?" Nathan said.

"Exciting," I squeaked.

"Good," He grinned.

We walked for a few steps in silence, and then my curiosity got the better of me.

"Are you close with Gabe and Damien?" I asked out of my own personal greed.

"Not really," Nathan said. "Family friends and all that. Closer with Damien though, he's a decent guy."

"Right, have you heard from him lately?" I probed.

"No," Nathan frowned and then reached for my hand and interlocked our fingers. And I felt a sense of guilt wash over me. Here he was, taking me on a date and I was asking about another guy.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Yes," he apprehensively answered, surely thinking it was another Damien related question.

"Am I taking you away from your family or your friends?

"Why would you ask such a ridiculous thing?"

"Have I made everything a mess between you and Matt or even the guys and you?" I croaked.

"No." Nathan stopped walking and stopped me as well. "Why would you ask that?"

"Matthew said that I was taking you away from him and your family and I made a mess. I feel so guilty and horrible and I don't even ge-"

"No." Nathan cut me off. "Don't think that. I hardly even visit my family and Matthew is just being selfish. He's clearly having a hard time now that I'm not at his beck and call 24/7. But on top of that,  he sees my family more than I do. He lives with them."

"Oh," I remarked and then Nathan tightened his grip on my hand, trying to offer reassurance.

"Please," Nathan shook his head. "Ignore Matt. I know I do."

I laughed at that.

"We're here." Nathan announced.

"A playground?" I asked, observing the scene in front of me.

"Look to the right," Nathan commented.

Then I saw it, there was a large park to the right of the playground and in the park, there was a huge blanket spread out with a basket on the top. It had lights glowing around it and it looked absolutely beautiful.

"Oh my gosh, how did you do this?" I was taken aback. It was so classically romantic.

"My friends helped me a bit," he shrugged, and I saw the slow blush spread across his face, and I smiled.

"I love it," I ran to go sit on the soft, wool blanket and Nathan joined me.

"I hope you're hungry," Nathan said, and pulled out a few containers of food. "I took the liberty of grabbing from a few places that I would personally add to your food list."
