"Sit down!" Nathan ordered.
I didn't hesitate. I knew with the current state he was in, it was in my best interest to listen. I quickly took a seat on my sofa, and inhaled."What was going on with you and Carter?" His eyes narrowed in on me, teeth barred.
"Nothing!" I exclaimed. Was he delusional?
"Why was here in here with you?" He growled.
I had grown to realize Nathan was beyond jealous, and I had accepted that, but this was insane. We had, had this conversation this morning, the exact same one, but apparently that wasn't enough to convince him.
"Nathan! He's your brother, I've met him twice. He came here to check on me, and you. I was asking for his advice on something and that's it. You can't get angry every time you see something you don't like without context."
Then Nathan started to shake. Why did I have to provoke him? He then transformed into his brown fur coat with claws and let out a loud roar.
Oh fuck. Before I let the panic overtake me, I tried to think as fast as I could. I couldn't run, and I couldn't escape, his massive form blocked the door and he was snarling in my direction. The next logical idea that popped into my head was putting Matthew and Carter's desperate plea into action, or whatever stupid thing I had agreed to.
Before he could pounce and shred me into pieces, I sprinted up to him and connected our lips together. Beneath his fur, I searched and locked onto his lips, desperately trying to wave a white flag through intimacy. I immediately felt a sharp, stabbing pain shoot through my lower back, and then it deepened into an agonizing pain. I cried out in pain, but couldn't move due to his claws being submerged in my back. I felt my face coated in tears, as he held me tight, returning the kiss, with my skin being pierced deeper and deeper. I eventually screamed as the pain became unbearable and I moved my face away. He retracted his claws, and I fell to the ground screaming. It didn't matter where Nathan was now, I couldn't feel anything other than the pain, and I began to sob and scream. I was such an idiot. I had made an uncalculated move and it led to another serious injury.
Several fists were pounding on the outside of my door.
"What the fuck is going on!" I heard Carter yell.
"Open the door," Damien said.
All of a sudden, two hands were on me, and my eyes shot open to see Nathan back in human form. Instead of helping me up, his first instinct was to press his lips to mine passionately, and I screamed in pain again as he pressed my back into the floor.
"My back!" I screamed.
"Nathan, open the fucking door." Gabe yelled from the other side.
"Fuck, fuck, sorry." Nathan panicked. "We need to get that taken care of right now. Fuck, fuck, fuck."
I tried to calm my breath, and I tried to calm down, but I couldn't seem to stop the mixture of crying and screaming, switching between the two, hoping that it would help.
I finally managed, "What do you mean?"
"Werewolf scratches are almost always lethal to humans," his face cloud with fear. "We need to go right now. If they're deep enough, they can be toxic enough to cause permanent damage or death..."
I was understanding now why Gabe and Damien had chosen to knock me out last time, and then between my pain and sobbing, a new emotion entered - rage. Was he fucking serious? Instead of that being his first reaction when he transformed back, he went in for a kiss? It had been more important to lock in with my lips, rather than look at what he had done?
