Gabes P.O.V

I could taste just about anything, in anything. I had tasted that punch, and it had been spiked with something. It definitely wasn't manufactured with it, but someone had come here with something and laced it. I couldn't quite tell what drug, but I knew it was going have some bad effects on Dyllon and whoever else had it.  I'm pretty sure it started kicking in already, because she kept asking me 'why' as we were hunting around the room for Damien. Luckily, drugs didn't have an impact on vampire and demon bodies, but to any human in this room, it did. It was strong stuff and I had no idea what it was.

"Damien, I need to talk to you," I said pulling him away from his circle of friends.

"What is it?" He noticed Dyllon at my side.

"There was something in the punch, and Dyllon drank it, and I have no idea how she is going to react." I whispered so Dyllon couldn't hear. "Well, I have a general idea of how things will end if we don't take care of this."

"I wanna dance," Dyllon whined beside me. I looked over at her, her hands were pressed against me, feeling up my arms and tugging at me. It was so unlike her.

"What do we do?" I asked. "I don't want her to even get into Nathan's way while she is like this, or Matt's."

"Stay by her all night," Damien groaned. "Keep her in sight."

"Any idea who would have done this?" I asked.

"Not a clue," Damien answered. "Just get rid of the punch and get some water in her."

"I already did," I said.

"Gabe, I want to go dance," Dyllon moaned, pulling on my arm. I looked over at her, the straps of her dress were hanging off her shoulder, her hair was sticking to her face from the sweat that had developed from the heat of the room, and I gulped. Even like this, she was tempting. I ran my hand through my hair, and pulled her into a corner.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"You and me, we need to go dance," she said, her voicing slurring slowly. I chuckled at the shift in her personality, and then pulled up her straps of her dress, securing them on her shoulders.

"Do you mind?" I said, gesturing to her dress, so I could tighten her straps.

"Only if we dance," she slurred.

"Sure," I said, and then gently fastened the straps of her dress tighter, ensuring they'd stay in place for the remainder of the night. I gently cupped her face, and pushed the hair off of her face. "You beautiful, beautiful, silly girl."

It wasn't going to be hard keeping my eyes on her all night. While she wasn't quite herself, I imagined this is what she was like when she let her walls come down and opened up to a bit more fun than usual.

She eagerly pulled me onto the dance floor that I had set up in the middle of the room. It was crowded with my friends, and she didn't hesitate to draw us right into the middle of all of it. I hoped this was the extent of impact that the drugs would have on her, dancing and a little bit too antsy for more.

I danced by her side, but Dyllon kept drifting in closer and closer, occasionally dragging her hands down my arms and torso. Have mercy on me, this was going to be a long night. She wrapped her arms around me and pressed her body against mine, moving to the rhythm of the music. I couldn't help myself, and got carried away with her, and we entwined ourselves further to the rhythm.

"Get off of her," a cool voice said.

"Excuse me?" I asked and turned around to Nathan growling.

"Get away from Dyllon." He barked.
