Against my better judgement, I met up with Nathan after his football game. We walked around a bit in the cool Summer air, enjoying an ice cream and he took the time to try and explain his relationship with Matthew. While it didn't make sense to me, I appreciated that he was recognizing that there were a few red flags.
The next three weeks that followed had a very similar pattern. I was typically with Nathan every other day, visiting Gabe here and there and Matthew was finally out of the picture. Damien was still missing, with no details from anyone on a return date and I hadn't heard from him, and Gabe never bothered to ask.
Nathan had asked me out a few nights ago, and we were officially dating. It didn't really happen like I had imagined it. There wasn't much to it. We had been making out on his sofa, and he asked. I didn't have heaps of experience with keeping and maintaining boyfriends, but I had expected it to feel so... lacklustre? I was going to blame it on the fact that we had been hanging out so much prior to that, and assumed we were already an item...just now with labels on it.Presently, Nathan and I were wrapped around one another on the sofa, our lips finding new places to kiss, and struggling to keep our clothes on. I knew Nathan would be happy to do this forever, but I was growing eager to explore new places with him, and leave his bedroom from time to time.
"Nathan, do you think we could go back to that area of town where the Golden Klaxon is?" I moaned loudly, as he kissed the sensitive spot between my neck and collarbone.
"I think we can." Nathan replied in between one of his deep kisses, his hands tangling in my hair, and gripping harder.
These past three weeks, I had spent more time in Nathan's room than my own. I began to miss the comfort of my own room. However, I guess that was what happened when you started seeing someone, two slowly became one.
"How about we go later this evening?" I asked, trying not to push my luck. Nathan didn't often say no to me, but I did have to tread carefully around any subject areas he did object to.
"9:00 it is." Nathan replied, gripping my hair harder, and his lips latched onto my neck, nipping at my skin.
"Perfect," I whispered into his ear, gently nipping back. "I think you should let me get going now, or I'll never leave this room."
"Maybe I don't want you to ever leave," he said, and his hands found my ass.
I never could push Nathan off of me, he was way too strong. He held his body over mine, and went down for one last passionate kiss.
"You may go now." Nathan laughed, and carried me to his door, and kissed my hand.
"I'll see you at 9:00." I waved, and proceeded to my room.
I had tried to maintain a relationship with Gabe since entering an official relationship with Nathan, but things had become slightly frosty. Gabe had slightly distanced himself from me but I was determined to stay in his life.
I knocked on his door, and he opened with a slight smile on his face.
"Hey, what's up?" He asked.
"Not much, how was your party last night?"
"You heard all the noise?" Gabe laughed. "It was good. Sorry I didn't invite you, it was just a close circle of friends. I'll make sure to keep the music down next time."
"No, that's totally okay, I get it. You don't always have to try and justify everything. You are way too kind." I laughed. I nodded at the broom in his hand. "Weekend chores?"
"Cleaning up the results of my party." Gabe sighed. "I really need to invest in a vacuum. It would be way faster."
I peered past him into his room. "Wow, it really is a mess."
