At the sight of my Family,My heart leaped in a racy gallop,I could swear that the rooftop was booming with the sound of it.

With a befuddled look,I encouraged my legs to move. I walked closer to ensure that the feeling of the earlier euphoria was not playing havoc with my senses.

"Sarah!" My mother mumbled almost painfully,Her voice was heavy and uneasy.

My father stood beside Her and the look of regret on His face was no match for Hers.

"What are you both doing here?" I asked scornfully.

"Muffin please,You will talk to Your parents with respect." Es said from behind but I did not dignify His remark with an acknowledgement.

"Answer." I uttered, shifting my burning gaze between them.

At least they had the common decency to look apologetic.

"Sarah please,You are our daughter, allow us to explain-"

"Explain WHAT?" I cut my mother off. "Huh? The way You almost ruined my life? Sabotaging my chances at pursuing my dreams? All for what?."

"Baby please can w-"

"Don't touch me!" I snatched my arm away from my father. "I am NOT your daughter." The spite in my voice was palpable. "I am parentless,I'm an orphan, both of You should get as far away from me-"

"Sarah!" Es was jerking me in no time, shaking me by the arm as if waking me up from a slumber,it pretty much felt like a dream.

I was faced with Es and He held my gaze, assaulting me with His disapproving glare.

I looked into His eyes and shook my head at His impertinence, and I started to feel my eyes water.

I narrowed my displeased eyes on Him and I saw his frown line deepened in concentration, and I immediately got the message.

The nonverbal warning was enough. Es turned to the rest of the family and gave them an understanding nod,and Immediately, they exited the rooftop leaving the terrace bare.

When Jake was leaving,He walked to my side and gave me an encouraging nudge on the arm, shooting me His pleading eyes,a gesture imploring me to go easy,I promised nothing.

Esteban was the last to leave. He turned and I realized that His earlier displeased and stern look was replaced with a soft expression, designed to empower me,I assumed,I nodded at Him and looked away as He walked down the stairs.

I walked to my sister's side and hugged Her,feeling the tears finally run down my cheeks.

After a few minutes,I walked back to the mat where Esteban had earlier proposed,I sat down.

I felt my parents' steps following me.
Upon reaching the mat,My mother sat facing me,and I looked away.

"There are no amount of words I could utter that will justify our cruel action...." She started. "I am ashamed of myself,I'm a disgrace to motherhood."

I was not looking at Her,but from the shaky sound of Her voice,I knew She was about to breakdown, and I immediately felt pain in every epicenter of my veins.

She started sobbing.

"The burden we placed on You,Baby.. It-" My Father choked on a sob and I shut my eyes close, feeling the hot tears race down my face.

Both my parents were sobbing and Judith was enveloped in my body all the while, crying.

I listened to my parents feeble excuses as to why they attempted to ruin my life.
