It had been two weeks since I got cleared from the hospital.
I hated the fact that the thought that I'd lost my baby was lingering at the screen of my mind, and it boggled me.
I actually started feeling a motherly connection to it.
It hurt when I discovered it was gone.
After I was discharged from the hospital,we went back straight to the mansion.
Jake and Maya joined us for an hour before they left.
Since then, they checked up on me everyday.
Cathy was ecstatic to see me back on my feet. "You have to take a lot of vitamins,Silly girl."
Even in my condition, she couldn't help scolding me like a child. I loved Cathy dearly.
The following three days were totally tiring, streams of constant guests from the Alcaraz Empire swamped in the mansion to offer their sympathies.
'Thats her,My Muffin.'
'Yes the doctors said she'll fully be on her feet in no time.'
'No I'll stay at the mansion until Muffin gets better.'
'Yes I schedule meetings in my office right here in the mansion.'
'John Locke and Simon got the Empire for now.'
And Esteban went on and on about how he'd never leave my side until I was fully okay.
I had seen the relief in his eyes after those three days,He had shaven his bushy stubbles, washed his hair, and he ate constantly.
The Police visited also. It was all in all,a tiring week.
The following week,Esteban suggested that I needed a change of environment and so we took a trip to Bahamas. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before.
Of course Si came along.
Esteban was more attentive, more caring and loving, more gentle than I'd ever seen a man be,I was fast falling dangerously in love with him,it scared me.
After Six days in Bahamas,we had to rush back to New York,it was the week of Jake's and Maya's wedding, and I was to be the maid of honor. All in good time, because by the time we went back to New York, there was no need for a fake tan for the wedding,I already had a nice Bohemian glow.

"That fits perfectly well,Maya. Jake's jaw will drop down to the ground,Christ."
Maya was an exceptionally beautiful woman,I admired her white flowing wedding gown,it was expensive, worth every penny.
"Oh yeah? Thank you Sarah." She giggled, excitedly.
"He loves you a lot,You'll take care of him, yeah?" I said,in a more calm tone. I was on the verge of breaking down,Jake was like a father to me,and It would burn me to see him hurt.
He was my guardian angel.
"Of course you know I will,Sarah. I love him equally." She answered, still facing the mirror as she stripped her dress of and put it back on the hanger.
"Okay..." I said,and a sob escaped me.
Maya turned around, panicked She dropped on the rug to match my sitting position.
"Hey... Come here,shhh...." She started. "..You know I love Jake just as much,I'd never do anything to hurt him." She said, squeezing my hands.
I let the tears flow voluntarily down my cheeks as I looked into her sincere eyes,She was genuine.
"Baby girl....?" Jake's voice startled both of us as we looked at his tall figure leaning on the doorframe of their room. We didn't know for how long he's been standing there or that He'd heard the conversation.
