The first rays of sunlight broke through the tiny round window in Leon’s room.
The light shone brightly onto Leon’s face waking him up with a loud groan. He looked up at his stretcher to see that Alexandra had gone.
She must have gone back to her room in the early hours of the morning. Leon glanced over to see his roommate still asleep, no longer snoring.
Leon made a sigh of relief and climbed back onto his stretcher as slowly as a sloth. He made a loud yawn and stretched until he felt as though his legs and arms felt loose, was there time to sleep? Maybe an hour or two? It didn’t matter to him the sleep was all he needed.
Leon rolled over and almost instantly he was sleeping.
An hour or so passed and Leon awoke to his roommate shaking him telling him to wake up.
‘Come on get up if you don’t we will miss breakfast, they won’t save anything for Blanks.’ He warned.
Leon groaned and lifted his legs over the sides of the stretcher and rested them on the ground.
He rubbed his eyes and yawned.
‘Alright, alright I’m getting up.’ He groaned.
Leon moved to his feet and cracked his fingers then opened his bag and pulled out a fresh set of clothes then left his room for the male showers across the hall.
Warm water ran down Leon’s back and he leaned against the wall.
His back began to feel better from sleeping on the floor. He flung his hair back into the shower.
He stepped out of the shower and onto the bathmat. Leon reached for a small grey towel and dried himself.
It made Leon mad, how he and the other Blanks were treated. The bathroom was tiny with just a toilet a tiny sink with a small mirror and a small old shower, the walls were stained grey and the light bulb in the roof only gave of a small glow.
‘This is so stupid; it’s degrading for people to be treated like trash just because of how they were born.’ Leon growled.
Leon faced the mirror, he wore white jeans, a red shirt under a green hooded jacket.
‘Let’s see them make me wear all white.’ Leon taunted at his reflection in the mirror.
The dining room of the ship was packed, with tables for different colours of Magics and of course the Blank table was far off at the back.
Leon hesitated; he was overwhelmed by the amount of different Magics cramming into this room.
He searched through the crowd for any Magics that looked Like Colin, Blaine or Alexandra.
Sure enough Colin and Blaine stood just out of the food line waiting to see Leon.
They waved to him and instantly he noticed.
Leon darted through the small opening that he had between them, before other Magics closed in and he lost sight of them.
Leon tripped over.
His hands extended in front of him breaking his fall. He glanced back up over to his shoulder to see Edward standing over him with a scowling look on his face.
‘You little punk, I caught a cold because of you!’ He quietly growled.
Leon moved around back to his feet.
‘Look I barely know you Edward and I know that you hate me because I’m a Blank, I don’t need to fight you, but if you give Alexandra more crap then I will. I know she can and will stand up to you though, chances are she would kick you pathetic butt herself.’ Leon pointed out.
