Collin came over and grabbed Rick from Leon's arms.
'Come on, let's get the two of you some help.' He said smiling.
'Right now I could settle for a massage.' Leon said laughing for a moment.
His laughter was interrupted by an explosion of gold light behind him.
I the sky above them Gold Magic swirled around and around and began to form the shape of a person.
Something inside of Leon beckoned him towards it.

When the light combined into one mass there was an explosion of bright light and at its centre floated someone that made Leon run all the fasted to get to, Alexandra.
When the light faded Alexandra began to fall and Leon didn't have enough strength to rapidly accelerate and catch her so he dived across the ground just in time catch her.

Leon's heart was racing and it wasn't until his arms were wrapped around her that it began to slow down.
Something wasn't right however. Alexandra's eyes were closed, she wasn't awake.
Leon began to panic.
He rocked back and forth, stroking her hair out of her eyes. Then he leaned forward and kissed her forehead.
'Please wake up.' He begged. 'I don't want to lose you, please, please wake up.' He closed his eyes but tears still fell from them and ran freely down his cheeks.
'Please Alexandra, come back please... I love you.'

'Do you mean that?'

Leon stopped crying and opened his eyes. Staring back into them were two beautiful golden eyes.
'Alexandra?' Leon asked both in shock and happiness.
'Well I'd hate to think it was someone else you loved.' Alexandra joked with a large grin and hugged him. 'It's ok now, you brought me back. Everything is going to be ok.'
'It will?'
'It will I promise. And Leon?'
'Yes'
'I love you too.'

A week passed before Leon went back down to the village.
Any of Jacob's bounty hunters that had been down there were down there had been driven out and already the town's people were beginning to work on repairs.
He was going to stay in the Gold Dorm which had been made into a make shift hospital for everyone who had been injured during the battle for a while longer but that morning he received an important letter.
It read.
"Meet me at the hill of the Blank dorm, we need to talk. Liam."

Despite his Injuries Leon wasn't going to show Liam up.
When he reached the hill that overlooked the town he found Liam standing near the edge.
'You know I would have waited until you were feeling better to see you.' Liam said looking at the bandages wrapped around Leon's head, arms and chest.
'Its fine, others got allot worse surprisingly.' Leon replied.
'What happened during the battle? I heard Rick got pretty badly hurt.'
'Well I beat him but his father did much worse, I gave him a nasty cut on his arm and he'll be under constant medical supervision for a bit longer.'
'What happened to Jacob then?'
'Well he won't be hurting anyone, not anymore. Rick killed him.'
'I see.'
'If anything good came of this it's that we know Jacob won't be harming anyone again. Alexandra is back as well. It turns out that I was right all along; I didn't need to kill Rick or Jacob so long as the Magic was eliminated.'

There was a brief moment of silence where Liam just stared out over the town and ocean.
'What about Malqua and Aqwaya?'
'Aqwaya is alright... but after they took Malqua into the hospital they wouldn't let Aqwaya see him. Then they told her. He didn't make it.'
Liam felt like his heart stopped. 'I see.' He said.
Leon didn't say anything; he just looked at the ground.
The silence caught Liam's attention. 'What is it? He asked.
'It's just that, Malqua is tougher than that; I don't think that wound killed him.'
Liam nodded. 'You're right.'

'Leon I won't be returning to the school next year.'
'Why?'
'Because I believe Malqua is alive and I believe that someone has taken him.'
'Why would you say that?' Leon was confused.
'Leon, just because you defeated Jacob doesn't mean that the whole world is going to change. There are plenty of other people out there who are ten times worse than Jacob and hundreds of dimes more powerful.'
'You can't be serious?!'
'I am very serious. And I'm sorry for what I have to ask you.'
'What is it?'
'One day someone more powerful and evil will try and do far worse than Jacob, you are our best bet for stopping someone like that. Leon you're a hero.

Back at the Gold dorm Collin sat next to Rick's bed waiting for him to regain consciousness.
Even though he knew Rick was going to be fine he couldn't help but worry.
Rick's injuries were severe enough for him to stay bed ridden for a few more days. The gash were Leon cut his arm open required a lot of stitches and was bandaged tightly.
Almost the entire group was nearby. Alexandra was resting in her room and Kelly and Blaine were near Collin and Rick, keeping an eye on them to make sure they were alright.

'I can't believe one man caused all of this suffering.' Kelly said to Blaine.
'I guess some people are willing to as far as murder to get what they want.'
Rick moaned and opened his eyes.
Kelly and Blaine didn't continue their conversation. Instead they went over to see how he was.
'How are you feeling?' Collin asked moving Rick's hair to examine the bandages on his head.
'I'll be fine.' He smiled. 'Where's Leon?'
'He went off to go see Mr Erikson, he'll be back soon I'd expect.' Blaine answered.

Almost immediately after Leon entered the room with Alexandra.
'Gee you must be bloody psychic lad.' Blaine laughed to himself.
Leon of course had no idea what he was talking about and just smiled.
'Nice to see you're awake.' He said as he saw Rick looking at him.
Rick tried to move up so he could see Leon properly but a shot of pain up his body prevented him and forced him to wince it pain.
'Don't move so much.' Collin ordered.
'Take it easy on him doc.' Kelly joked.
Rick couldn't help but laugh a little, but that was surprising to everyone else, they hadn't seen him smile in a very long time.

'So why did Mr Erikson want to see you?' Rick asked.
'It was mostly about what happened, how everything turned out.'
'Did you tell him about Malqua?' Kelly asked.
'Yeah I did, needless to say he felt guilty. But something else was bothering him more than Malqua dying.'
'What's that?' Kelly asked.
'He doesn't think he's dead, to be honest I agree with him. Malqua is tough and it takes allot more than what he took to kill him.'
'Are you sure about that? I mean he did take a spike through the shoulder.'
'That's true. But Liam thinks that someone may have taken him. And if that's the case then it's my responsibility to help find him.'

Alexandra sighed at him and squeezed with a hug.
'You and your do it yourself attitude.' She laughed. 'You should know by now that we're a team, your problems are ours as well.'
'Just do me a favor Leon?' Collin said getting up and grabbing Leon's shoulder tightly.
'What is it?'
'Don't go blowing anything else up.'

Leon laughed. Not just at Collin's joke but because for the first time in a long while he knew he wasn't alone, and that made him more happy than anything.
'Well I can try. But when it comes to that, no promises.'

Liam had boarded a boat leaving the island by the time Leon had gotten back to his friends.
He would miss the school, the people he had met when he was both a student and teacher there. But the journey he had in front of him was a long one and he didn't plan on returning until he found Malqua and got him home safely.
Something would stay with him throughout his journey however. The kindness of a boy who had been shown none for most of his life. The life he gave back to him.
The memories of the person who to him was like a son who he couldn't be more proud off.
The kindness of Leon.

The End.
