Leon awoke in the Blank dorm.
The Blank dorm defiantly wasn’t anything flashy. It was more like an old building made out of dried stone and bits of wood to form a house. Inside there was an eating room, bathroom and a room large enough for the Blanks to sleep in.
The dorm sat near the edge of the eastern cliff of the island, in a few years this entire building might be at the edge of the cliff and just fall off.
Leon had told his friends the night before that even though he had been given permission to stay with them due to his magic emerging that he would still stay at the Blank dorm.

The red dorm was on the other side of the island. It stood on a small mountain. It wasn’t a typical building but looked more like a giant stone fortress that had been carved into the mountainside.
The Green Magics lived in a network of tree houses that were in the forest that surrounded the eastern side of the island toward. To get to school and to the dorm the Blanks had to walk past the Green Dorm.
Leon didn’t know where the Gold Dorm was. It hadn’t been in the town or the clearing where a few of the dorms had been. The gold Magics had all left by themselves to go to their dorm, Leon had to guess it was somewhere to the north of the school.

Leon had left by himself to go to school early in the morning, around 8 am. Everyone had already left as a mass group but Leon was incredibly tired and hadn’t woken up till later than everyone else.
The shower he had was cold, the water felt rough and stinging as it slammed roughly into his back.

While walking through the forest the air felt warm, despite it being winter.
The trees hung over the path and were wet with morning dew. The grass was growing onto the dirt path and Leon could hear the birds tweet.
Despite Leon rushing he still couldn’t help but enjoy his surroundings.
Finally Leon reached the school. Most students were still outside, just talking to each other.
When Leon entered the school he was greeted by Collin who had only arrived minutes before him.

Leon’s classes that day were pretty dull to him. When finally it came to a class where students had to practice spells Leon stood right out.
When it was his turn to demonstrate a basic barrier he could feel the tension in the room as he stepped up to try and create one of the most basic spells.
Everyone had seen Leon become a Magic the day before however Leon was unable to materialise any magic at all now. It felt awkward as the entire classes anticipation was broken in a loud sigh and Leon stepped away from the platform that was used to demonstrate spells and back down to the seats.
When finally it was the end of the school day Leon and Collin walked back to their dorms through the forest.
The forest seemed different with Collin around, perhaps it was because he was a green magic. The trees in the forest felt less crowded and Leon was able to find many paths he hadn’t found before.
‘Today was much less eventful than yesterday.’ Collin joked.
‘I still ache.‘ Leon laughed back.
The sun was setting in the sky leaving the sky a mixture of orange, red and yellow. The trees casted soft shadows onto the ground that swayed in the light breeze.
‘This is my stop.’ Said Collin.
He clicked his fingers and a vine dropped down from one of the trees. When Collin grabbed a tight hold of it, it pulled him up into the trees and he was gone from Leon sight.

Finally Leon reached the edge of the forest where the Blank dorm stood.
Something seemed wrong. Leon had left somewhat early compared to everyone else.
‘I at least expected some other people to be back already.’ Leon spoke as he walked into the dorm.
All the windows were closed and no lights were on.
Leon sat down on his bed. So far he still hadn’t unpacked his things.

Then all of a sudden Leon heard a crack and the wall began to split.
The floor seemed to tremble and Leon felt a sinking feeling.
For some reason Leon couldn’t quiet explain he felt sense of danger. Quickly he sprung to his feet, scooped up his bag and ran.
Leon ran out the front door of the dorm in time to see it crumbling and the ground around it cracking.
The ground in front of Leon split and cracked as it began to fall away from the cliff.
As quickly as he could Leon threw his bag to the other side and dived over the cliff only just in time.
When Leon hit the ground he rolled and rolled until his momentum wore off.
Leon got to his feet somewhat dazed and unsure of what had just happened.
When he managed to stand straight up he noticed that the dorm had completely fallen off the cliff.
‘How on earth did that happen?’ He wondered.

The crash from the falling dirt and dorm could be heard all the way from the other side of the island and it was almost no time before a crowd of teachers and students had formed and began investigating what had happened.
The lead teacher of the orange house approached Leon and grabbed him.
‘What happened here?’ He questioned aggressively.
‘I don’t know sir.’ Leon replied. ‘I was just inside then the building began to collapse around me.’
‘You expect me to believe that pathetic story?’ the teacher laughed back at Leon.
Leon couldn’t help but feel a little bit annoyed from being ignored like this.
‘Yes sir I do.’ He answered back firmly.
The teacher laughed in Leon’s face but then looked as though he was going to hit Leon in his anger.
But suddenly from the crowd a familiar voice shouted out.
‘Put him down!’
Leon turned in shock to find Mr Erikson standing with an expression of anger, glaring at the Orange Magic teacher.
‘Professor Miller put that boy down this instant.’
‘What do you want Erikson.’
‘You have neither proof nor authority to say this boy is guilty of demolishing his own dorm. And if you do not put him down then I will have to file a report saying you were violent towards the students.’
Miller pause and I look of anger crossed his face but it was only brief and he put Leon down.
It didn’t take Miller to leave and as he was leaving Erikson helped Leon to his feet.
‘What’s wrong with him, sir? Leon asked
‘I don’t know. Maybe he grew up on the negative side of viewing different Magics.’
‘It seems like it.’ Leon mumbled.

Leon felt curious and looked over the edge of the cliff at what was left of the dorm.
‘What could have possibly have done this.’ He wondered.
Leon noticed something at the edge of the rubble, it looked like a person.
‘There’s someone down there sir!’ He shouted.
Mr Erikson turned around and looked over the edge of the cliff and down at the rubble too.
‘Sorry Leon I can’t see anyone.’ He spoke.
Leon rubbed his eyes and looked down again.
‘Yeah, I guess I was just imagining it.’
