Leon didn’t get back to the Blank dorm until the sun was setting.
There was a cool breeze in the night air. The leaves on the trees slowly swayed in the wind and made a light rustling noise.
‘I hope Alexandra isn’t upset with me for being back so late, I did promise we would do something tonight.’ Leon said.
The dorm was more or less quiet except for a few Blanks watching an old TV.
One of the Blanks turned around and looked at Leon. ‘There’s a Gold Magic Girl up in your room.’ She said.
‘Thanks.’ Leon said.
He turned to go to his room but then paused and asked. ‘Has Rick come home yet?’
‘Yeah but only briefly, he had to go down to town or something.’
‘Ok, thanks.’
Leon went upstairs, into the empty hallway and then walked over to his door.
Leon opened the door, walked inside and closed it behind him.
He turned to find something he didn’t expect to see.
Lying down on his bed in her underwear was Alexandra.
It took Leon a few moments to assess the situation. He scanned his eyes over her. She was wearing gold lace underwear that didn’t leave much to the imagination and glaring into his eyes.
‘Well hey there, why don’t you come over here?’ She said slowly running her hand up her side.
Leon’s expression was blank.
Alexandra’s gaze pierced right into his eyes. She then sat up.
Finally Leon spoke. ‘Um, Hun?’
‘What is it?’ She asked edging forward.
‘What happened to your dress?’
‘What?’
‘You’ll catch a cold, without it.’ Leon said worryingly.
‘Wait I’m trying to-‘
Before Alexandra could finish Leon interrupted. ‘I’ll help you find it.’
Leon ran to the foot of the bed and looked along the floor until he spotted her dress then picked it up.
‘Here you go.’ He said smiling while handing the dress to her.
‘You’re clueless.’ She sighed.
Before Leon had time to react Alexandra grabbed him by the shirt, pulled him down onto the bed and pinned him down.
‘Ohh we’re wrestling?’
‘Wait what?’
Leon quickly pulled Alexandra off him and pinned her down.
‘Ohh I didn’t know you were-‘
‘1,2,3,4,5,6-‘
‘What are you doing?’
‘9,10! I win.’
‘Sometimes you can be so silly.’ Alexandra began to laugh.
‘Why is that?’
‘You’re so silly you can’t see what’s in front of you.’ Alexandra said laughing still.
‘I’m still not sure what you…’
‘Oh just shut it, silly.’ Alexandra said pulling him to her and kissing him.Erikson went straight back to the school after training Leon and Rick.
The first place he went to was Kellam’s office where surely enough Kellam was waiting for him.
Erikson sat down on the seat in front of Kellam’s desk.
‘How’s their training coming along?’ Kellam asked.
‘Both of their progression is quick, their teamwork is strong and their strategy’s work.’ Erikson replied.
‘Then why have you come to see me?’
‘Their training would be significantly more productive if…’
‘If what?’
‘If Magic Academy were to re-enter the Global Academy level tournament.’
Kellam was shocked and entirely caught off guard by this.
‘But Liam, after what happened… what happened to your father I swore that I would never allow anyone from this school to enter that tournament again, it was my fault, it should have been me not him.’
‘And if anything happens this time it will be my responsibility, I won’t let it come to that though.’
‘But can Leon even access his powers? Can Rick even use his?’
‘No not yet but I’m sure that this tournament is what we need to push them.’
‘Are you sure about this?’
‘Believe me I have to be, if there were any other way to do this I would take it but there isn’t.’
‘I know Liam, and I trust your judgement. Although I’m not sure what Liana would say about this idea.’
‘No doubt she would think me insane. But their good kids, the world needs two potential leaders like them.’
‘Yes I know they do.’Leon awoke abruptly in his bed.
His heart was racing and sweat ran down his forehead.
The lights were off in the entire building and there was a peaceful silence.
There was a tugging at Leon’s side and Alexandra cuddled closely into him.
Leon looked down at her, a bit of her hair hung over her face so Leon brushed it aside. She looked so peaceful and beautiful. Just seeing her made Leon feel a bit better.
‘Well at least the blanket will keep her warm, I don’t know why she wouldn’t put her clothes back on.’ Leon thought.
After a moment Leon stood up and opened the glass door that led to a tiny balcony, it was a little larger than a square meter in size but it had an amazing view. It was possible to see the ocean and the lights of the town. The gentle sea breeze was cooling on Leon’s skins.
Leon breathed out heavily.
‘More nightmares?’ Alexandra asked as she wrapped her arms around Leon and rested her head on his back.
‘Oh you’re up?’
‘I woke up when you opened the door.’
‘Ohh I didn’t mean to wake you.’
‘No that’s ok, I’m more concerned about you.’
‘About my nightmares?’
‘You’ve been having them allot lately haven’t you?’
‘Not them, just the one.’
‘One?’
‘The same one I told you about before. It’s the same each time.’
‘It’s ok. I’m here for you.’ Alexandra said hugging Leon tighter.
Leon turned to find that Alexandra was still only in her underwear.
‘Aren’t you going to catch a cold out here?’ Leon asked.
‘Well maybe, you had better take me back to the warm bed then.’ She stated smirking.
‘Ok sure!’ Leon said with a large smile.
Leon scooped her up in his arms and carried her back to the bed.
‘Ohh romantic.’ She laughed.Leon woke in the morning to find his face buried in the centre of Alexandra’s bra. For a moment he didn’t do anything until he realised where we was. Quickly Leon startled his face backward in shock. He looked up at Alexandra who was awake smirking. ‘Nice face rest?’ She asked laughing.
‘I um, I-‘
‘Ohh just shush you.’ Alexandra said kissing Leon good morning. On the way to classes hours later Alexandra and Kelly started talking about the subject.
‘So how did it go?’ Kelly asked slyly.
‘Well it went differently to expected.’
‘Did he think you were hot?’ Kelly asked with the beginning of laughter in her voice.
‘Well he… he thought I lost my clothes and tried to go looking for them.’ Alexandra answered shyly.
Kelly suddenly burst out into laughter in the middle of the hallway. ‘The boy is clueless!’ She continued with tears of laugher beginning to form in her eyes.
‘It’s not that funny.’ Alexandra said beginning to blush.Leon had been called to Erikson’s office early in the morning.
When he got there Erikson sat on his large leather seat and looked at Leon.
‘Good morning sir.’ Leon greeted.
‘Good morning Leon.’ Erikson greeted back.
‘So what can I do for you sir?’
‘It’s more of a what we can do for each other.
‘Well what can we do for each other?’
‘There used to be world magic tournament that this school would enter. It took place once every ten years up until the last tournament when it was decided that there would never be another.’
‘Why was that decided?’
‘Because the final round got out of hand, someone was killed, my father.’
‘I’m sorry sir.’
‘It’s alright.’There was a brief silence in which Erikson took in a deep breath as if to bury the pain of his father’s death.
‘So what were you saying about the tournament sir?’
‘Ahh yes. I have been discussing with the headmaster and we have decided that the best way to test Rick’s and your progress is in another tournament.’
‘Are you sure sir?’
‘Absolutely. Normally in a tournament like this your magic house leader would nominate a boy and girl to battle until there were three fighters left for the world level, however since the Blank house has always been reluctant to enter I’m bending the rules just a little so that I can nominate both you and Rick. What do you think?’
‘This tournament could help allot with my progress to unlocking my powers willingly so I say why not?’ Leon smiled.
‘I’ll just have to ask Rick then.’ Erikson said smiling back. ‘But Leon...’ His smile suddenly transformed into serious look that paralysed Leon. ‘Don’t do anything reckless.’
‘Don’t worry sir, I’m not planning on it.’
The tournament was announced the following day and was to take place a week after that. Leon was surprised to find out that Blaine was entering as well. A part of him even wanted to battle Blaine, just to see how far he had come along but before Leon allowed himself to get too excited he discovered that the male Gold Magic entering was Edward.
