Collin had decided that he was going to leave the school to look for Leon and Erikson. It was dark now and he couldn’t help but be worried.
‘I’m going to go to the toilet and bed.’ He had told his friends.
In the current situation almost all the students were staying at the school and those at the hidden dorms on other ends of the island were being told to stay put.
As Collin approached the edge of the clearing he heard Blain call his name.
‘Hey Collin stop!’ He shouted.
Collin turned to see Blain, Alexandra and Kelly chasing after him. He waited until they were in front of him before he said anything.
‘I’m going after Erikson. If he has gone to find Leon he may need some help. I understand if you want to stop me but someone needs to help.’ He said.
Blain shook his head and laughed for a moment. ‘Look lad it’s dangerous but we know Erikson needs help, we aren’t going to stop you were coming with you.’ He answered.

Collin hadn’t noticed at first but he realised that Blain had come prepared. Mounted on Blains back was a crystal bow, Alexandra had her Crystal whip and Kelly had a Crystal sword and shield.
‘We remembered to bring you something too.’ Alexandra smiled. She revealed from behind her back a long Crystal staff with a small sphere on the top. When Collin grabbed it, it lit up with green mana and changed shape. It looked similar to a normal steel staff now but the sphere on top glowed green with streaks of green bouncing off the sides. Collin also noticed that on Kelly’s back was a crystal katana.
‘We shouldn’t rely on Leon needing that katana.’ Collin said.
‘We aren’t but he may need it.’ Kelly said back.

Erikson and Leon ran through the tree’s pushing plants aside. Leon’s breath was heavy; he was tired and could feel all the strength in his legs slowly draining away.
Erikson drew ahead of Leon for a brief moment and the stoped. Leon nearly tumbled into him.
‘What’s the matter sir? He asked.
‘Look Leon you can’t push yourself like you have been.’ Erikson replied.
‘What do you mean sir?’
Erikson turned around and put his hand on Leon’s shoulder.
‘You’re a good kid Leon. And despite having other people treat you horribly because you were a Blank you still throw yourself in danger in order to help other people. Even though you have powers now we aren’t sure how to unlock them, so don’t throw yourself in harm’s way expecting your powers to save you because if they don’t then you might get yourself killed. And trust me, the world needs more people like you, so don’t go dying so young.’
‘I’m sorry sir, I didn’t mean to worry you or anything.’
‘It’s ok Leon, we will take a break for a minute, catch your breath.’

Leon slumped to the ground and rested against a tree.
It was night now, the sun had completely set and a full moon lit up the night’s sky.
Through the gaps in the tree branches and leaves Leon could see the moon. Its white glow casted small beams of light through the leaves of the tree tops. The forest seemed calm, apart from Leon’s heavy breath there was almost now sound.
All of a sudden both Leon and Erikson heard rustling and the low grumbling voice of a man.
‘Quickly Leon we have to go!’ Erikson whispered swiftly as he grabbed up Leon.
Again they rushed through the forest but this time they could hear loud footsteps chasing after them.

Finally the trees began to thin out; they began to approach the clearing.
Finally Leon and Erikson burst out of the trees and into the clearing they could see the school in the distance and the full moon in the sky. The stars shone and there was a cool breeze, everything seemed calm, only it wasn’t. The first thing Leon notice was marks along the ground were grass had been ripped out. Then he realised the layer of water bellow water below his feet and finally Leon saw his friends all lying along the ground.
Without a thought Leon rushed forward to his friends but when he ran past Erikson he felt his collar and when fell a large wall of water flew up into the air only a few centimetres in front of him.
Leon looked up to find Erikson holding him.
‘Be careful Leon!’ He shouted down at him.
‘I’m sorry sir.’
Erikson helped Leon to his feet and it wasn’t until Leon was back on his feet that he noticed the two Aqua Magics and the woman he had seen earlier standing behind them.
‘Eyes off them Leon, they aren’t our largest problem.’ Erikson spoke.
Leon turned to find a tall, well-built man standing near his friends. The man was in Aqua coloured clothes.

‘What did you do to my friends?!’ Leon shouted.
‘Me? Why I did nothing more than defend myself, they attacked me and I defended myself. Humph, such ruffians.’ He replied.
‘Don’t talk about my friends like that!’ Leon shouted.
Leon dashed forward at the man.
‘Leon don’t!’ Erikson shouted as he tried to reach forward to grab Leon.
Erikson was forced to quickly dodge to the left when he heard the sound of water slicing through the air.
A thin layer of water zipped past him only missing him by a few centimetres.
‘Watch out!’ He shouted at Leon.
Leon heard at the last moment and ducked just avoiding the slash of water.

Stumbling to the ground Leon rolled and tumbled across the mud.
It made him slide far enough to get close to his friends.
‘Hold on guys!’ Leon shouted as he sprung back to his feet running towards them.
‘Leon stop it!’ Erikson shouted, but Leon didn’t seem to hear.

As Erikson was about to give chase his hand was caught by a large length of water thick enough it could have been like a rope.
Erikson spun around and shouted at the three people behind him.
‘Let go of me!’
‘No, your fight is with us, you will leave that boy to die!’ The Woman shouted at him.
A look of shock crossed Erikson as he found himself realising that he would have to fight these enemies and that Leon was alone.
