An unplesent suprise

Leon had spent the night after his match in the school infirmary,
His arms hadn’t been broken but rather badly burnt. Blaine couldn’t stop apologizing for injuring Leon so badly but Leon knew that it was his own stubbornness that drove Blaine to injuring him so badly.
‘I’m sure you’ll do great in the next few rounds, even win!’ Leon exclaimed complementing Blaine.
‘I’m not sure. Revealing my trump card so early will give other Magics time to prepare for it.’ Blaine said worryingly.
‘But It sure is powerful.’
‘That’s true, and if I use my bow combined with Wings of the Phoenix straight up I’ll have a distinct advantage.’
‘Well I hope I’ll be better enough to see your next fight.’
‘Never mind my next fight, Rick’s match is tomorrow.’
‘That’s right. I’m a bit worried it being against Edward and all.’
‘Ahh I wouldn’t doubt him.’ Collin said as he walked in ‘Good match by the way you too.’
‘Thanks.’ Leon and Blaine said at the same time.
‘Alexandra is on her way here as well Leon.’ Collin informed Leon.
‘Well in that case, we had best leave you two to have some private time.’ Blaine said to Leon winking.
‘What’s that mean?’ Leon asked cluelessly.
‘Never mind.’

Not long after Collin and Blaine left the room Alexandra entered and quickly walked over to Leon.
Gently she hugged him. Feeling the soft embrace of her arms made Leon calm. Sometimes when she was with him like this he could forget all the troubles they faced. It reminded Leon what he had fought for when he battled Malqua; it reminded him of the person he was.’
‘You and your fights.’ Alexandra said kissing Leon’s cheek.
‘It was just a bit of fun.’
‘It was fun to watch you Lose for once.’ Alexandra said jokingly as she lightly punched Leon in his shoulder.
Leon’s response wasn’t a laugh but a twitch in pain.
‘It was a fun match to watch but please try not to get so carried away in the future.’ She continued to joke as she squeezed tightly on Leon’s.
Pain shot into him more and more the tighter Alexandra grabbed and finally Leon broke shouting ‘OW OW OW!’
Alexandra quickly realised what she had done and apologetically hugged Leon tightly.
Leon’s eye twitched with the pain and he let out a low high pitched groan of pain.

The following day Leon was strong enough to accompany Rick to the courtyard. Along the way he gave Rick some advice that would help him in his battle.
Rick was more than a little nervous. The two could hear the crowd of students waiting outside.
Edward was already waiting in the courtyard, lance in hand and impatient as ever.

‘Where is this Blank I’m supposed to be fighting?’ He demanded.
‘I’m sure he’ll be here soon.’ Kellam replied.
‘Why not just give me the win, a Blanc can’t beat me!’ He shouted arrogantly.
‘Leon did!’ Alexandra shouted out from in the crowd.
‘Oh! Burn!’ Blaine shouted only a second after.
‘Heh heh, I get it.’ Collin Laughed.
‘Shut up!’ Edward shouted in frustration.
‘Make us!’ Kelly shouted sticking her tongue out at him.
Edward was really riled up now. He was being embarrassed and made fun of by people he thought of himself better than.
Finally Rick showed up and when he did he followed a bit of advice Leon had given him.
‘Remember, Edward is extremely arrogant but he doesn’t mess around, however if you can manage to get him frustrated he will get careless and drop the ball.’
‘Are you sure that will work?’
‘Positive.’

‘So where’s the tough guy I’m fighting?’ He asked sarcastically as he skimmed over the crystal weapons he could use.
‘That would be me!’ Edward shouted.
‘Oh yeah right I see.’ Rick said as he scanned Edward up and down.
‘Nice lance.’ He said as if he wasn’t finished his sentence.
‘Whate-‘
‘Compensating for something?’
That pushed Edward really far, he could feel his anger boil.
