Gently, Blaine lowered Leon back onto the ground.
‘You understand what we need you to do?’ Blaine asked.
Leon gave a quick reassuring nod.
‘Don’t worry I’ll be fine. Just make sure you and Collin are ready.’ Leon stated.
‘We will be.’
With a quick beat of his wings, Blaine shot off into the air again, leaving Leon to face Jacob alone.

‘Relying on others to save you Leon?’ Jacob taunted.
‘I guess I am.’ Leon’s expression went from a serious battle gaze to a smirk. ‘But that’s what makes me able to beat you, my friends.’
Jacob’s arrogant smirk turned into an annoyed scowl.
‘Do you want me to tell you why I don’t believe what you’re doing is right, Jacob?’
Slowly Jacob calmed himself. ‘Why?’
‘It’s because no matter what way you put it what you’re doing is selfish. You want to create a world where nobody has magic, and whilst I do agree that would help people to be closer, it would also leave only one person in the world with powers, you.’
‘You’re right. And as the last Magic I will have the ability to ensure that all my laws are obeyed and upheld.’
Leon shook his head in disagreement. ‘And what? Kill all of those who disobey you? No. You want to know which one of us is evil. I can tell you, it’s you, always you and do you know why? Because you’re plain selfish, I fight to protect those I care for, to save lives, to give people the chance to change, to help make a better world. I am better than you and if you continue this battle you will lose, so consider this your last warning. Surrender and you can go.’

Jacob was amused more than anything at Leon’s words.
’Is this your plan? Talk me to death? You can’t fight me; you’re barely able to stand up. Fight me and you’ll die!’
An enormous plume of Blue Magic shot out from Leon’s body.
‘Wrong! Because now that my friends are with me; I’m more powerful than ever!’

Slowly Rick awoke and pulled himself up.
Instantly he could feel all the mana gone from his body.
‘Stay down.’ Collin hissed in a whisper, pulling him behind the cover of what was left of the observation area.
‘Is Leon fighting my dad?’ Rick was confused about the situation; the last thing he could remember was collapsing.
‘Yes.’ Collin answered in another sharp whisper. ‘We have to be quiet or we might get in the way.’

A glint of metallic blue light shone from some rubble into Leon’s eye. His sword was buried under the rubble behind Jacob; if he could get to it he may just stand a chance at really winning.

Jacob began the fight with a charge at Leon. He was slower this time; the massive amount of magic he had stolen from Rick was beginning to take its toll on his body.
The rush of strength Leon had gotten gave him a huge leg up. Most of his power was still gone, but from the moment he charged at Jacob it was clear that his speed had returned.

Jacob punched down at Leon withal of his strength. It was too slow.
With a sudden burst of speed Leon dived to the ground and slid between his legs.
Jacob’s reaction was slow. He turned around with a stumble that nearly made him fall.
‘You’re just like an annoying little pest that won’t die.’ Jacob shouted angrily.
Leon ignored him; his attention was focused on tossing rubble aside until finally he got to his sword.
There was a loud thumping behind Leon. Jacob had run up almost behind him, brought his arm back for a punch and swung down with all of his strength.

Jacob’s enormous fist met the cold steel of the blunt side of Leon’s katana.
A surge of pain shot up his arm, a few bones in his hand cracked and he was thrown off balance.
With a fast follow through, Leon’s Katana slammed into Jacob’s chest knocking him back. There was no cut but Leon didn’t stop.
Attack after attack, Leon continued until finally he attacked with enough force to knock him into the centre of the courtyard.
