It's Wednesday morning, Cara and I lay peacefully in her bed, enjoying each other's warmth. Well, nothing happened last night. I know I should have disappointed at that, but actually I was a little bit relieved. Our relationship is moving too fast already, it doesn't really need the complexities of intimate encounters right now. I was perfectly satisfied at the feeling of Cara sleeping peacefully with her arm wrapped my stomach possessively. I swear if I could find the pause button of life, I would hit that right then. That night I felt, I can't believe I get to say this, somewhat complete. There was something missing in my life before. But she completes me. It's probably too fast to say this, but maybe this is it. Maybe the search is finally over.
"Good morning, love." She nuzzles my neck affectionately, sending shivers all over my body. Her morning voice is huskier than usual and I immensely love it.
"Good morning, sunshine," I say while kissing the top of her head, breathing the addicting scent of her hair.
Her hand are still laying comfortably on my stomach and now moving in lazy circles. I am sure that she can hear my heartbeats, going faster and faster for her. There's nothing better in this world than a new love. It makes everything ten thousands times better, even simple thing like waking up in the morning, which I usually hate with all of my heart. Though it makes getting up from bed harder than ever too.
"So, what are we going to do today, Jess?"
My heart leaps with joy at the question that implies that she wants to spend her day with me. But I guess as romantic as my surprise arrival seemed, I do still have obligations to tend in London. Planning business meetings while you're trying to win the heart of a girl doesn't really sound as practical as it seemed now. I only did it because I thought that if things didn't work out with Cara, I still could save what's left of my pride by calling it a business trip. I curse my stupid self silently and clear my throat, wondering how the hell I should tell this to Cara.
"Um, actually," I smile apologetically to her angelic face, "I have a meeting today."
"What? You have a meeting?" She sounds so disappointed. Then she continues with a little bit hurt shows in her voice. "So you're not here just to see me?"
"Oh, no, Cara. Of course, you're the main reason that I got here."
"But not the only reason," she points out.
"I'm so sorry, babe. But I planned to attend some meetings here, you know, in case you don't feel the same way about me." I smile sheepishly and touch her pouting lips softly. "I know, I'm stupid. Maybe I could cancel it."
"No, don't do that. I understand." She presses her cheek against my shoulder as she lets out a defeated sigh. "At least I will have you for the night."
"Thank you, Cara." I pull her tighter into my arms as I kiss the top of her head again. "I promise I will get out if it as fast as I can."
"You do that." Then she smiles mischievously. "Or I'll start my plan for tonight without you."

Today's meeting was probably the longest meeting I have to endured in my life. After I reluctantly pried myself away from Cara's loving arms, I dragged myself to my firm's office in the heart of London. A lot of middle aged men talked about somethings I was no longer interested in for hours. They presented the progress of our projects here in the London office. A tower's building permit got stalled, a lot of issues on an apartment design and so on. I halfheartedly some comments and directions here and there, while a lot part of my mind were still with Cara. Minute went on like years and I nearly went crazy when it was finally finished. I hurriedly got in a cab and called Cara to tell her I'm on my way home. When I hung up, I smiled to myself on how domestic it seemed, going home to her after long day at work. I could get used to that.
Cara is already dressed for dinner when I arrive. I will never get used to her breathtaking beauty. She looks so damn hot in her silk suit with a plunging neckline, reveling so much skin that I would like to lay my lips on. She smiles amusedly at my appreciative stare.
"See what you like?"
"You're gorgeous." I throw my bag to the floor and pull her into my arms. She laughs happily at my obvious need to be around her at all times.
"I missed you too, love." She strokes my back lovingly. "Now, take a shower and get into something delicious for our date tonight."
"Delicious?" I arch my eyebrow suggestively. "Am I going to be the main course for tonight?"
She lets our her wonderful laugh again. It sounds like a music to my ears. "No, silly. We're going to have a proper dinner tonight." Then she leans closer and whispers to my ear. "But maybe if you play your cards right, I'll have you as a late night dessert later."
