"So you finally decided to come back to USA after all," Amy says when she sees me approaching her at our favorite table at our usual meeting place. I sent a text message beforehand to plan a dinner together after work a week after I got back from London. She accepted without any questions about my long extended trip, knowing that I asked her to meet me because I want to talk about it.

"Barely made it back," I spread my arms wide to invite her into a hug which she accepts. I grin happily at her and a similar grin is forming on her lips.

"So, should I say congratulations to you?" She arches her carefully shaped eyebrow at me. Her amused tone says that she already guessed that I have a good news for her. Well, she's right. It's a damn good news alright.

I only nod and give her another stupidly wide grin. She squeals in excitement and rushes to hug me again. Her eyes dances wildly like a madman when she squeezes my arms with iron grips. "Tell. Me. Everything."

"Geez, calm down, will you?" I remove her hands from my arms and carefully rub the now reddened skins. She scoots away a bit but her eyes are still on me. Amy's eyes hold mine with a far too intense gaze. I have to admit I'm a little bit afraid by her extreme reactions. "Come on, Amy! Be normal. You scare me, woman!"

"Quit stalling or I'll squeeze it out of you," she hisses. "I'm already being nice enough for your sudden disappearance, so I'm not calming down for this."

"Okay, okay," I hold my hand up and sigh. She can be so crazy sometimes. Well, that's actually one of the reasons why she's my best friend. "Well, I surprised Cara by showing up in front her apartment door in London. I still can't believe that she didn't call the security when I showed up out of nowhere then."

I chuckle at that thought, wondering how the night would turned out if Cara called the security. I would probably back to New York the next day, with a broken heart to tend to. "Well, I told her how I felt and I actually said the L word. Huh," I smile when I see Amy stares at me open mouthed. "Can you believe it? I've never thought that I would have the courage to say it to Cara, but I did. She's special that way."

"I'm happy for you, finding the love of your life and all," she smirks at me. "But you're surely nauseating when you're in love. You look like you sleep with a hanger on your mouth when you're constantly grinning like that."

"Go on and be jealous," I lean back to my seat and cross my legs in a cocky manner. "I'm dating Cara Delevingne. Ha!"

"As often as I've been saying I would go gay for this girl, honey, but I'm as straight as an uncooked spaghetti. So, I'm absolutely not jealous. But I'm happy for you. You've never looked happier than this."

I am touched by the sincerity of Amy's words. She always wanted me to find somebody to love. Although I suspected that she only wanted that so I wouldn't bug her as much as I did when I was single, but I knew that she only wanted me to be happy. So when I'm finally having a serious relationship with someone, she asks me the long awaited question.

"So when do I get to meet her?"

I groan loudly as soon as she said that. She slaps my arm playfully when I do that. "Oh, come on. Don't you want her to meet your best friend?" She shoots me a pointed look. "Or you already swapped me with those Hollywood celebrities?"

"Please, nobody could ever take your place, Am. But now you're acting crazy like this, I don't know if you should meet her this soon." I shrug when she gaps at the word crazy. Oh, hell. Like I would be fooled by her fake offended expression. "Maybe later. You know, after all of us got used to the idea of this. Reality still hasn't hit me too, you know. It all still seems surreal to me."
