Esme walked into the lobby of the Marriott Renaissance Hotel in a pair of deep plum Jack Wills Corrbridge boyfriend sweatpants, a sheer Chinti and Parker taupe organic tank top, a pair of black and white converses. She pulled her suitcase behind her whilst holding her iPad in her other hand. She was followed by her sister Ecie who was wearing a pale taupe cotton-terry T by Alexander Wang sweatshirt, a pair of her brother's navy Jack Wills Sowton sweatpants, and a pair of grey Toms; pulling her own suitcase behind her, with her brown Alexander Wang Rocco bag hanging from her elbow.
They walked up to the front desk and pulled their plum round-frame acetate Marni sunglasses onto their heads.
'We have a reservation,' Ecie said rummaging through her bag. 'Woodrow-Thurgood.'
The receptionist looked through her computer and nodded. She gave them their room information.
'This place is kind of nice,' Esme said as they walked to the elevator. 'It looks really arty and chic.'
'Yeah,' Ecie said, tired from having driven two and a half long hours from Malibu to Palm Springs. 'I think the first thing I'm going to do is go to sleep. I am so tired.'
'Do you think that the others are here yet?'
'I don't think so,' Ecie said as they stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for their floor. 'I don't even think that everyone is even still coming.'
'Markus and Sara are definitely coming,' Esme replied. 'I think that Owen and Joey are coming as well.'
'How come Paul isn't coming?'
'He has a family thing this week,' Esme replied. 'He was really bummed to be missing out on this last trip.'
Ecie nodded and closed her eyes.
The elevator dinged and they stepped out. Walking down the corridor, they looked out for the suite number.
'I think this is it,' Esme said looking at a door and opening it. 'This place looks nice.'
'Yep,' Ecie replied. 'Where is the bedroom?'
They walked around the suite and opened a door.
'Thank goodness,' Ecie sighed relieved. She flopped down on the bed and closed her eyes. 'I'm going to spend the rest of the day sleeping.'
'We only just got here E,' Esme said going towards the window. 'Don't you at least want to go out to the pool?'
'Nope,' Ecie replied. 'I'm going to stay right here.'
Esme looked down on the people outside and sighed. She looked back at her sister and saw that Ecie was already fast asleep.
