'You're early,' Stacy smiled at Ecie as she walked into Chêne de Pois in a black Aubin and Wills Charfield dress and a brown leather Alexander Wang Rocco bag. 'You're not meant to be here for another half hour.'
'I thought that I may as well come in,' Ecie replied looking around the store. 'It looks kind of busy in here.'
'Yeah,' Stacy nodded. 'We had a really tough morning.'
Ecie saw some boxes piled by the counter. 'Should I start on those?'
'Yeah,' Stacy replied. 'Are you going to start your shift early?'
'I may as well,' Ecie replied. 'You can take a break if you like. Could you put my bag in the back?'
Stacy smiled at Ecie and took her bag, then went to the back room.
Ecie turned to the boxes and sighed at them. She walked over to them and opened them, taking out their contents and placing them on the counter. Picking them up in her arms, Ecie started around the shop putting them in their right places.
'I'm looking for a shirt.'
Ecie turned round and smiled at Langley. 'What kind of shirt are you looking for?'
'I'm having dinner tonight and I want something smart but casual,' he replied. 'What do you suggest?'
'Follow me,' she said putting down the last of her clothes. She led him over to the men's section and started pulling down several shirts. Langley leant in to her and breathed in her powdery scent and nibbled her ear. 'Do you like any of these?' she giggled.
'I like them,' Langley said softly. 'Do you have anything in white perhaps?'
'I thought you wanted to look casual,' Ecie replied. 'A white shirt looks a little dressy.'
'You're the expert,' Langley replied smiling at her. 'What would you recommend?'
'You should try these on first,' she said. 'We'll see from there.'
'Could you show me to the dressing room?'
'This way, sir,' she smiled as she led him across the store and behind a stand where the dressing rooms were. 'Just put the shirts on the hooks...'
Langley pulled her into one of the rooms and started kissing her.
'Langley,' she breathed. 'I could lose my job.'
'I just want to kiss you,' he said urgently. 'I only want to kiss you.'
Ecie indulged him and smiled.
After five minutes, Ecie emerged from the dressing area with the shirts she had taken for Langley and put them back on the rack. She took down several more shirts then returned back to the dressing room.
'Did you have a good day?' Ecie asked as Ellis drove her home from work.
'It was okay,' he replied turning a corner. 'Did you sell lots of stuff today?'
'Yeah,' Ecie said. 'We had a really busy day in the store today. I think I may have increased my sales.'
'That's awesome,' Ellis replied. 'Are you doing anything tonight?'
'Esme and I had plans,' Ecie replied. 'I can't do tomorrow night either because I'm having dinner with my dad.'
'Will I ever be able to see you?'
'Well considering that now I can't cheer for a while, you can see me after school on Wednesday,' she replied. 'I'm up to my eyes in homework and home drama.'
