'I want the Porsche Cayenne,' Ecie said as they walked into the Porsche showroom in Westlake, Thousand Oak. 'I want to get the hybrid.'
'As if dad will get you a Porsche,' Ross said as they looked around. 'He's already dropped almost twenty million on your apartment.'
'He said we could choose any car,' Ecie said opening a car door and looking inside. 'Plus this car will have to last me four years. I won't be getting a new one til I can afford it for myself.'
'Yeah whatever,' Ross said. 'I don't think he'll get you a Porsche.'
'We'll just have to see,' Ecie said as they approached a black Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid Tiptronic. 'This is what I want. This is perfect.'
'It looks like your Lexus,' Ross said opening the car door and climbing inside. 'It's nice in here.'
'Have you guys found something,' Jonathon said as he came over with Esme. 'This one is a bit big.'
'It's perfect,' Ecie smiled. 'I want this one.'
'Well knowing you, it's not completely perfect,' Jonathon said looking over the car. 'You'll want to tweak it til it's been Eciefied.'
'You said it not me, dad,' Ecie said. 'So what do you think?'
'Yeah,' Jonathon nodded rubbing his forehead. 'Why not? Let's get it.'
'I can't believe your car is going to cost a hundred thousand dollars,' Esme said as they drove out of the Porsche showroom. 'I wish I had gotten one too.'
'You'll get one you like,' Ecie said. 'Dad's feeling really generous.'
'I want to see if he'd get me a Jaguar,' Esme giggled.
'I'd like to see you try.'
'Hey dad,' Esme said. 'I was wondering if I could get a Jaguar.'
'Very funny honey,' Jonathon laughed. 'You can get a Jaguar if you're paying for it.'
'It was worth a try,' Ecie laughed. 'What car are you going to get?'
'I want a convertible,' Esme grinned. 'You know, driving along the PCH with the top down and music blaring. It would be a dream.'
'You should get a dark convertible,' Ecie said. 'Maybe not a black one, but a blackish one. You know your black red nail varnish? You should get your car in that shade, but more black than red.'
'Okay now kids,' Jonathon said parking his car. 'Try not to run about this time. Esme, Ross, find yourselves a car so we can get some lunch afterwards.'
They walked into the BMW showroom and looked around.
'These are so cute,' Esme said. 'I want to get all of them.'
'Focus,' Ecie said. 'We're looking for convertibles.'
'That was a fun morning,' Esme smiled as they sat down in Boccaccio's Restaurant for lunch. 'I think it was very productive.'
'That's because you two managed to spend two hundred thousand dollars,' Ross said. 'You guys know how to spend all the money.'
'Don't act so spoilt,' Ecie said. 'Your car was way more than ours.'
Ross shrugged as he looked over the menu. 'This place looks good.'
'I always love having meals with you guys,' Jonathon said. 'But I wouldn't mind if you stopped bickering every once in a while.'
'What looks good?' Ecie said looking over the menu. 'There is so much stuff to choose from.'
'Yeah,' Esme nodded. 'I think I might get the pasta or something.'
'We should come here for brunch,' Jonathon said. 'This place is nice.'
'When you say that you spoke to mom,' Ross said. 'Do you mean that you actually spoke to mom or you imagined speaking to her and she agreed?'
'You don't need to worry about Sofie,' Jonathon said waving his hand. 'She'll be fine.'
'You're going to be in trouble,' Esme laughed. 'Mom is so going to kill you.'
'I know, right,' Ecie laughed. 'Good luck with that dad.'
'Sofie will understand,' Jonathon said. 'I'll talk to the bank when we get back, then I'll tell Sofie. She'll be fine with it.
Esme, Ecie and Ross exchanged similar glances.
